My biggest complement is the the small things. For a Free MMO, they added a TON of small things, that other big name paid MMO's fail to do. Its just great to see they took the time to do it.

For example, I love the fact that there are little bonus puzzles to do in some of the instances, like knock down the columns and get the pot of gold, or instead of pushing the door open, use the environment to help you accomplish it.

Little stuff like that is awesome in my book

I'm on East now finally - gonna be either devithelight or devithedark

@Bei, can I get a key for a friend. I'll try to get at least one of them back and throw it back in the pool. (i wanted to give him one of the keys I got but I knew we had a bunch on who wanted them)

How do you "reprocess" items? So many of my items hint that I can reprocess them at certain NPCs in the descriptions, but I have not figured out how, and as the game is still in beta, I cannot find info on that system anywhere. I would like to clean up my inventory a bit, but I don't want to sell a bunch of stuff if I can use it to get materials for crafting things later on.

I was wondering that too. There is no options to do anything like that at any of the npcs that are mentioned in the items.

good question. i was trying to craft a shield last night but was missing one item for it even though we ran the battle that it drops in like 5 times last night. i also have several duplicate quest items in my inventory, i seem to get at least 3 from the boss that drops them no matter what.

there doesn't seem to be much in the way of upgrades from vendors or even crafting npc's. the only thing i can craft is a shield, and the only weapon i could buy was a sword. nothing above that unless leveling up unlocks currently invisible items and crafts.

it seems we are meant to get gear upgrades from the quest line alone, at least in the first town.

in any case inventory seems to be unlimited slots and based on weight, and my max weight has double by level 8(i think it's been 200 stones for a couple levels now).

i only actually kinda needed to use a hp pot once, can't remember exactly how i got to half hp.i kept pressing buttons last night accidentally so i think i used up all my repair items.

but yeah i have tonnes of mats and items that say to go to some npc to reprocess them.

I could be like WOW where you can't actually learn to craft until a certain level. They just need to clearly state that if that IS the case, also remember, we only have 2 "professions" in the game right now which is fishing and campfire, so we may not be able to do it at all until later.

When you go to the specified NPC, you can "reprocess" it by either crafting or through a storyline. For crafting, when you click on what the NPC has to offer, it would tell you what materials you would need. For example, a Shield from the Forge chick requires a Spiked Club (or something similar) as one of the materials. So just go to the specified NPC and click on what they can craft\reprocess, and you will see your material in one of the requirements there.

Btw, have you guys gotten any cool loots yet? I got 2 green materials yesterday as I was rerunning the second battle.

I have been looking for a better sword earlier, in the Marketplace there was a better one, but it was only marginally better (13xx attack vs 1200 on your starter weapon, with better str and dex) and the person wanted like 37k for it, not worth it at all. Then theres the lvl 2 weapon at the forge for 3k, but its like 16 more damage and you lose 5 str (which means you lose damage from loss of str), so its not really worth it.

I hope weapons become more common later on, I'm lvl 8 and still using the starter weapon.....

As for armor, you don't really get armor from quests, you get quests that reward you for getting armor. I am crafting the second set (forgot its name) to get the title and complete the quest, I only had enough materials for the boots and gloves, I have the stuff except leather for the helmet, and I need lots more for the pants and chest.

I do not think there is unlimited slots, there are a few inventory slots on the left side of the inventory screen (to the left of all the items themselves), and the weight system does seem odd.....mine shows 203 as my max (based off str I think), and the arrow is close to 190 or so but it seems nothing I throw away or sell weighs anything. The only thing I saw that had any weight was my armor and weapon.

I still haven't used any potions yet, I'm lvl 8 and the lowest my health has been was like 800 of 1000 or so, I usually kill normal enemies before they hit me, and I dodge 90% of the bosses attacks. I heard the dodge skill lets you dodge twice in a row at rank D, which will make it even easier to dodge bosses.....even when they have fairly long range attacks. Its only about 25 points from rank D (I selected to level up my damage before I knew rank D dodge gives you 2 dodges in a row).

When you go to the specified NPC, you can "reprocess" it by either crafting or through a storyline. Oh, thats what it means? I have some weird helmet thing I got off a boss that you have to use to craft with some other items to make the next level armor, thats all its for then? Probably not worth keeping a majority of the things I have then.

Any storage chest in town you can use to store things like that?

As for drops, not really, I got a few things yesterday that I never saw before, but I'm at work and can't remember what they are.

hmm i should've looked at that vendor sword a little closer compared to the starter sword. :/

i'm going to have to look around a bit more of what i can craft tonight then.

at one point last night i wasn't even bothering to block boss attacks in groups since even if they had 2 hp bars we were dpsing them down so fast in a group of 2 or 3.

I have been soloing the bosses, as such, I found the fastest way to do it, is break the pillars nearby (for the 2nd boss, that is) and smash the pieces over his head......each one drops his health a decent chunk, I was able to finish the 2nd mission solo in maybe 7-8 minutes when you have 15 for that extra challenge thing.

Because picking up then slamming down things takes a few seconds, I found its best to slam one down (start when he runs at you), then dodge before he attacks and pick up another piece and repeat.

But, I have only done the first 2 missions and I'm lvl 8, possibly because I'm soloing but I'm also repeating each mission until I get all the extra rewards from it. I oddly cannot get the ruin crystal or whatever from the 2nd mission (done it 4 times already), preventing me from getting the last 25 AP or so from it.

iirc we had the first 3 or so missions maxxed out, and were on the 3rd or 4th mission? we did the first couple of them a bunch of times though, and a couple times without any oaths.

the 4th mission i think it was, we only did once last night(at least before i logged out) and it only gave 50 points in teh first run. i forget if we ran it with or without an oath.

also speaking of grouping it seems to be p2p with the leader hosting so whoever is party leader should have a decent pc and net connection or it's going to be super laggy for everyone.

we also tried kiting a boss into one of the traps, which kind of worked, although we kept getting caught in it too. and picking up all the loot after was kind of hit or miss.

and speaking of traps, if you double tap w you can run a little bit faster, which makes running past traps a bit easier.

You know that running a mission WITH an oath gives you the reward for the oath and the reward for no oath, right? Basically you get the basic, no oath reward no matter what, doing an oath at the same time gives you an additional however many points that oath is worth.

Also, shift is also a run key, its the same as double-tapping W, but easier to do IMO. But, be mindful, running drains stamina, so make sure you stop every now and then to regen stamina a bit otherwise you will get into a large fight with no stamina, its a great way to quickly get from fight to fight in minimal time if you are careful with your stamina.

yep i know that but i wasn't party leader for long since i kept going afk last night.

and i didn't know that. i wish they'd documneted the keybinds better, or allowed you to set up custom keybinds. half the buttons on my n52 are on defaults for this game.

I got the Ruine Ether Crystal or whatever from breaking one of the pilllars in the boss area. It's my second green item! Haha.

I'm pretty sure I got some type of crystal from that area, but the one for the mission itself is different, I have ran it 4 times, every time breaking virtually every breakable in the boss area, and I have never gotten the thing you need to complete that bonus in the 2nd mission. :/

EDIT: "Obtain Ruins Erg Crystal", thats the one I haven't gotten in 4 attempts yet, I'm not sure if its hidden somewhere or if its a chance to drop or what...but I have gotten a crystal during the boss fight and it wasn't the Ruins Erg Crystal.

From a quick google search, it seems it is really rare during the Gold Leather mission which it is the bonus for, but later on they are more common, as I need it for the bonus to this mission though (gotta find it in the mission) it seems you basically just have to redo the mission a bunch until you get it.

You have to break pots for them.

    • Rufus 4.15.2393 Beta 2 by Razvan Serea Rufus is a small utility that helps format and create bootable USB flash drives, such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks, etc. Despite its small size, Rufus provides everything you need! Oh, and Rufus is fast. For instance it's about twice as fast as UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer or Windows 7 USB download tool, on the creation of a Windows 7 USB installation drive from an ISO (with honorable mention to WiNToBootic for managing to keep up). It is also marginally faster on the creation of Linux bootable USBs from ISOs. A non-exhaustive list of Rufus supported ISOs is available here. It can be especially useful for cases where: you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.) you need to work on a system that doesn't have an OS installed you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS you want to run a low-level utility Rufus 4.15.2393 Beta 2 changelog: Add RISC-V 64 support to UEFI:NTFS Improve the guards for using the "silent" option Improve the ability to cancel during write retries Improve progress reporting for compressed image extraction Fix unrestricted XML entity expansion and integer overflow in ezxml parser (courtesy of @esadowski4) [GHSA-55r2-34wg-8mv9] Fix "silent" Windows installation failing at 75% in most cases [#2960] Fix a crash during boot when using UEFI:NTFS on Snapdragon X based ARM64 platforms [#2934] Fix the first WUE option always being checked by default [#2965] Fix an infinite loop when using Windows ISOs that contain multiple WIMs Fix "Enable runtime UEFI media validation" checkbox not always being properly enabled Other WUE improvements/fixes for OneDrive removal and username validation (with thanks to @christian8641) [#2984, #2991] Download: Rufus 4.15 Beta 2 | 1.9 MB (Open Source) Links: Rufus Home Page | Project Page @GitHub | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
    • Tixati 3.43 by Razvan Serea Tixati is a free and easy to use BitTorrent client featuring detailed views of all seed, peer, and file transfer properties. Also included are powerful bandwidth charting and throttling capabilities, and a full DHT implementation. Tixati is one of the most advanced and flexible BitTorrent clients available. And unlike many other clients, Tixati contains NO SPYWARE, NO ADS, and NO GIMMICKS. Tixati portable version is meant to run on a USB flash drive or other portable media. It stores all its configuration files in the same folder as the executable binary files, and all file paths are stored in a format relative to the program executable folder. It is important you do not delete the "tixati_portable_mode.txt" file within the executables folder. This file is what triggers Tixati to run in portable mode. (The executable binaries are actually the same as the standard edition binaries.) When running the portable edition from a USB flash drive, especially one that is formatted in FAT16/FAT32, you may experience some lag when initially loading a new transfer. This is because initializing and allocating large files on flash-based media consumes a greater amount of time and resources compared to a conventional hard-drive. Tixati has the following features: detailed views of all aspects of the swarm, including peers, pieces, files, and trackers support for magnet links, so no need to download .torrent files if a simple magnet-link is available super-efficient peer choking/unchoking algorithms ensure the fastest downloads peer connection encryption for added security full DHT (Distributed Hash Table) implementation for trackerless torrents, including detailed message traffic graphs and customizable event logging advanced bandwidth charting of overall traffic and per-transfer traffic, with separate classification of protocol and file bytes, and with separate classification of outbound traffic for trading and seeding highly flexible bandwidth throttling, including trading/seeding proportion adjustment and adjustable priority for individual transfers and peers bitfield graphs that show the completeness of all downloaded files, what pieces other peers have available, and the health of the overall swarm customizable event logging for each download, and individual event logs for all peers within the swarm expert local file management functions which allow you to move files to a different partition even while downloading is still in progress 100% compatible with the BitTorrent protocol Windows and Linux-GTK native versions available Tixati 3.43 changelog: Several major DHT improvements Added • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.
    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.
