Ambient sound removal and enhacning background talking?

I got a sound recorded in a country side and it has a lot of crickets and birds at night while people are talking..

How can I removed these sound plus enchance the people's talking voice?

You hand it in to a proffessional sound editing studio...

no matter how you look at that, it's a hard job, andmost of it will need to be done manually and it'll never be good.

I have heard from some audio people that Audacity do this easily since the amient sound (Bird and Crickets are usually the same thruout) so they are easy to tune out and makng the talking voice clearer.

How big is the file you're trying to do this in?
