Very good game with great graphics sound and game play. I would recommend getting whether on sale or not. The game was much better than alright, I was very impressed and much more so after the 2.0 update. Don't think just get it.

Should I buy this? It's on sale right now on GoG and I've read a lot of good things about it, but wanted to know what other people thought.

Sure. You'll enjoy it if you're a fan of RPGs. It's one of the most well-polished games I've ever played. It's even better now for newer players because patch 2.0 added a game tutorial.

So I want to get this came but canyourunit.com says I don't meet the min requirements. It wants a core 2 duo 2.2ghz I have a 2.13ghz as for video card I am not sure why it says i don't meet that one. Is this game just gonna kick my systems ass? Unfortunately, your Mobility Radeon HD 4650 isn't enough. My Radeon HD 4870 is barely enough to run it on medium settings.

Here's the opening cinematic for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition. It'll be out on the 17th of April for PC and Xbox 360. Just like the enhanced edition of The Witcher, it'll have new animations, cutscenes, as well as new characters and quests. And best of all, it'll be free for people that bought the PC version before the 17th of April.

The CE for this game looks great and I think I will be getting it. So happy it is coming to the 360.

You'll be happy to know that they've done more than simply port it to the Xbox 360. They adapted it so that's it more like a console game which should be good news for Xbox 360 gamers. Here's a developer diary that shows the Xbox 360 version:

Wow. CD Projekt RED has added a lot to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition. It's going to be free for anyone that owns the standard version before the enhanced edition's release date (April 17th, 2012). So far, all of the DLC has been free and new content was released with patch 2.0.

My only complaint with Witcher 2 (which is similarly 1 of MANY with Fable 3), what I will call "don't leave the road" syndrome, (LoTR #1 popped into my head just now :) - "get off the road") where the game is an explorable area, but not an "open world", things like trees & bushes block your ability to travel, if you're not traveling on or within a few ft./m. of a road then you're not moving. This is something I am sure/hopeful someone has already discussed and I hope is addressed in Witcher 3; seeing as my XB1 is just hanging out since today is the first day I've put it down in favor of Xbox 360 games.

Note: Eventually BF4 & AC4 get tiring, and I am waiting for a good long day to complete my brothers copy of RYSE in 1 sitting.

    • This is a none story - these low volume Chinese models will always get new experimental features first because Apple and Samsung can't produce them in huge volume to meet demand.
    • Nvidia GeForce NOW gains support for Dark Scrolls, Empulse, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The final update of June for Nvidia's cloud gaming service GeForce NOW is now available, and it is touting support for six more games. The company is also drawing subscriber attention towards the summer sales kicking off across stores, so they can stock up on more cloud-supported titles. Of course, the Steam Summer Sale is the biggest promotion, which is kicking off later today. "Supported Steam games can be streamed across devices with GeForce NOW, making it easy to buy a game once, keep progress synced and pick up where the gameplay left off on PCs, Macs, handheld devices, phones, TVs and more," says the company. "In other words, the Steam Summer Sale brings the deals; GeForce NOW adds the flexibility." Don't forget that the GeForce NOW summer sale is still active as well. This limited-time offer drops the 12-month Performance membership from $99.99 to $64.99, saving members $35. At the same time, the 12-month Ultimate membership is currently going for $129.99, dropping the price by $70 from the original $199.99. Here are the games joining GeForce NOW's supported list this week: Dark Scrolls (New release on Steam, available June 22) SAND: Raiders of Sophie (New release on Steam, available June 22) Deer & Boy (New release on Steam, available June 23) EMPULSE (New release on Steam, available June 24) The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (Steam) FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (Steam) With the June expansions coming to an end, Nvidia should be announcing its July GeForce NOW plans next week. Keep in mind that, unlike subscription services like Game Pass or EA Play, a copy of a game must be owned by the GeForce NOW member (or at least have a license via PC Game Pass) to start playing via Nvidia's cloud servers. There is also a limit to how many hours subscribers can use the service per month.
