lalalawawawa
So... I installed VMWare Workstation and it seems like it disabled auto-logon. The cause of this is probably the user the program added, called "vmware_user". Before the installation, my user would log on automatically (since it is the only user and it doesn't have a password). Now, it always ask me to select the user to log on with. Is it okay to delete this user? Will it break the software in some way?
+BudMan MVC Posted October 10, 2010 MVC Share Posted October 10, 2010 Why don't just set your machine to autologon with your account, vs deleting an account that software needs?? Here is some info on the account.
Singh400
I don't recommend deleting/removing "vmware_user" account because it might break some features within VMWare. As BudMan said just use control userpasswords2 (start from the run dialog) to redo automatic login for your account.
