BBgamer Posted October 15, 2010 Share Posted October 15, 2010 Skype 5 previously wouldn't install properly for me, so like I did with my Windows Live guide, I thought I'd do one for fixing skype. This method uses the free online service, ninite, to install and configure skype correctly. 1) Goto http://www.ninite.com 2) Scroll down the page until you see 'Skype'. It's in the social networking area. Click it. 3) Click the 'Get installer now' button and download it. 4) Run the installer it gave you. 5) Skype 5 should now be installed! This service is mainly for setting up new computers with all the programs you may need to save time, but it can also be used to download and install apps without all the hassle. First of all I got the normal 'online' skype installer which failed, then I got told to get the 'full' installer when it failed, I did, and the setup tool just crashed instantly on launch.
