Sony Vegas 10 - Sync audio with a Velocity Envelope?

Hey,

Today I was looking for a way to do variable slow / stop / speed motion without having to cut, paste, stretch and line up constantly which is a royal pain in the ass. I discovered "Velocity Envelope" that does exactly what I need, only one problem, the audio doesn't sync up with what you're doing. I tried searching but many of the answers are from pre-Vegas 6.x days and you'd expect professional software like this would be able to sync up the audio somehow when doing this - So that's basically the question, is that possible?
