Glad I read everything about this terrible patch before downloading it and installing it. Hope they release one that makes everything peachy-keen soon!

You guys see that Yahtzee gave Skyrim a positive review? I don't think he gave a good review for Oblivion.

One thing I'm finding about this game is playing it is an absolute blast.... talking to other people who played it is extremely boring. We both want to tell the other person what WE did in the game, and really have no interest in what the other person did in the game...lol. Maybe its just me.

+1 Yes. But the beauty of this game, is that when you sit down to play it, its YOUR game, and that can be a very different experience from anyone else. :)

Anyone know of a mod that says which books you already read?

I would kill for this! I've probably wasted more time re-opening books than anything else. What really gets me, is I will see the name of the book, be like, I've opened this before, BUT I STILL OPEN IT JUST IN CASE IT MIGHT GIVE A POINT! it never does :(

Just FYI guys: look at the value of the book. If it's less than 20 or so, it's not going to give you a skill point and you can skip it. Any book I've read that gives a skill point is generally worth at least 50, sometimes less, sometimes more.

Thanks for pointing that out, will save me some time for sure. Still would be nice for some kind of notification because I read EVERY book since I am so terrible with TES lore. The books have been fantastic reading but there are tons of them.

Just a note: playing on 360 and staying on 1.1 patch for now, apparently Beth is releasing a 1.2.1 patch next week. Fully recommend folks to wait, though, and see how that turns out. I know some people aren't having problems with 1.2 but others have an unplayable game, which is not cool.

That's always been the giveaway for me since Oblivion times too.

Books can also reveal new map locations or start quests.

Finally had a trouble free night, with the 1.2 patch yesterday. Was able to play for roughly 4 hours straight, and not a single issue, hiccup, or glitch. I was very amazing, and enjoyed it a ton. Finally finished making Legendary Daedric Armor. Now I'm trying to figure out how to exactly fill up a empty Black Soul Gem. I have 2 of them, but my mace that steal souls isn't filling them. I've tried killing everything from a bear, undead, to a dragon. Nothing is doing it.... Any suggestions?

Think of how people played games before the Internet existed!

We would spend millions of hours in them :p But many of us are adults now, and don't have the time.

I was watching this mega man vs mega man

and was like, " This guy nailed it. Game developers have made games too easy and made for below the average joe. " But then skyrim comes along, well, as well as Demon/Dark Souls, which don't treat the gamer to any type of hint. They just throw you into this world of fantasy, and expect you to just learn it or never know about it. I think game developers need to find some middle ground to this, which doesn't include me having to buy some guide or go online in hopes to find a community to discuss it and learn from.

( everyone watch that video if you haven't and you enjoy games. It is funny and makes a lot of sense. )

    • Microsoft, why can't I just turn off Copilot on my MS account (in order to stop OneDrive from wanting to summarize everything, ahem) in a way that doesn't break OneNote instead?
