0 Blaze_Zewi
By multiple OS you mean "Some OS" and "Windows XP" on the same system? And is their such thing as a virtual sound card? Never heard of it.

0 +Xinok Subscriber² Posted November 28, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted November 28, 2010 Here's a couple of freeware virtual sound cards. I'm not sure what operating systems they support, I've only ever tested them on XP 32-bit. REaudio - http://www.mixw.co.uk/download/download.htm VAcard - http://www.datanab.com/audio/VAcard.htm Throught REaudio was the one I was looking for but Im not sure. What Im trying to do has to do with online radio, Skype, and music players so I need something like this for ALL OSs (maybe not Linux as I can problably come up with a solution there). XP does not support what Im trying to do out of the box.
0 HawkMan
I think people could perhaps help you better if you said what you wanted to do, and not that you want to do "something". that's not a lot to go on.
0 aftas
Ive already stated what I want to do :) Find a virtual sound card that mixes several inputs from several sources (application wise) and outputs it to one output.
0 carmatic
mixes several inputs from several sources (application wise) and outputs it to one output. 'inpus from several sources , application wise' ... is that supposed to mean the applications are making the sounds themselves, or the applications are listening for audio inputs individually? because that sort of implies that your soundcard has more than one audio-in , and i've never worked with a soundcard which can simultaneously record multiple audio signals before... 0 Cupcakes
Virtual Audio Cable is what you'll want to use to 'mix' in several sources into one cable. I use this when I stream so mix in line-in from my cap card and then from my mic into one.
