Maybe the start button could be the plain white Windows flag. That would look really nice. The widgets are already great as they are. Very nice job! :)

OK - 0.6 is big improvement over 0.5. Start button is much better - though mouseover effect would be preferable in later versions. Thankyou for replacing the shutdown computer button also - was getting a little worried.

As for the yellow mentioned i beleive the following picture is in reference to their statements:

good work... though i do have a few critiques...

- i dont really like the taskbar being thin... perhaps you could have a thic taskbar version?

- those yeallow rollovers for the tabs

- start button

- thin titlebars

and there seems to be a smalll bug in the start menu:

ive got my icons at 64*64, and the my computer, control panel etc icons in the start menu appear squashed horizontally, see ss...

I would request a NOT THIN taskbar/start menu version. And if in that version you could add the possibility to view the user's account image and name in the start menu... I hope this is not too much asking :)
