UFC welterweight champion Georges "Rush" St. Pierre notched himself another dominant victory this past Saturday night when he defeated Josh Koscheck by unanimous decision.

Following the impressive win, St. Pierre spoke to the media about his next fight, which UFC President Dana White announced would be Jake Shields. White also announced that evening that the UFC would finally be heading to Toronto for UFC 131, a bit of news that excited the promotion's French-Canadian 170-pound kingpin.

"I would love [to fight at UFC 131], but it depends on the boss. If the boss wants it, I'm in," St. Pierre said.

UFC 131 will be going down this April 30th at the Rogers Centre and it is being widely speculated that St. Pierre and Shields will have their meeting on that card. On fighting Shields, St. Pierre expressed an almost equal amount of excitement as he did at the prospect of fighting in Toronto.

"I like watching [shields] fight," he said. "He's a very meticulous fighter. He's a very technical guy. He's a brilliant submission artist. I like to see him. He's one of the guy I like to see the most.

St. Pierre explained his admiration for the Cesar Gracie product, stating that the laundry list of big wins at both welterweight and middleweight that Shields has strung together are deserving of serious respect.

"He beat up guys at 170 and almost everybody at 185. He fights in both weight classes. He's amazing," the champ asserted.

Shields has also expressed interest in fighting on the Toronto card and "Rush" revealed that he escaped the fight without injury and can begin training again right away. Shields is believed by many to be the last obstacle standing in between St. Pierre and UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva; talk of a superfight between Silva and St. Pierre escalated following "Rush's" UFC 124 victory, but he has a stiff test in front of him in Jake Shields that he must pass before getting a shot at "The Spider."
