I am a newbie here with this. Do you just run the installer .exe file and it does all the patching etc for you or do you have to copy and paste files in folders??

Thanks for your help

Tom

Patcher do it for you but read the instructions on the patch.

If that fails, in the previous page is a guide on how to do manually.

Good luck

yeah.

1) get a trustworthy friend who has the same version of Windows as you (same build) to send you an unpatched uxtheme.dll with the same version as the default one for your OS.

2) assuming your patcher made a backup file (normally named "uxtheme.bak", look under X:/Windows/System32, see what is next to uxtheme.dll), you can either manually replace it yourself or run the same patcher and click "unpatch".

i don't see why you want to unpatch it if it isn't causing errors. it's better to leave it and go back to the default Luna theme than to muddle with your system files and potentially cause problems.
