deep1234
Hi guys, I am thinking of giving my IPhone 3GS to my brother or selling it to get the new IPhone 4. But there are two thing I need to check, first I need to backup all my contact and second I need to erase all applications. Just wondering how can I do that? thanks,
PaulNY
All you need to do is sync your phone with itunes, and it'll backup all your apps/contacts/calendars....then when you get the new phone and plug it in, it'll ask if you want to restore from a backup or setup a new phone, select the backup from the date you synced your 3gs and bam, you're good to go... on the 3gs, after you back it up, you can restore it via itunes and have it completely empty. or you can erase all data/apps from the phone directly (Settings>general>reset) and it'll wipe the phone clean and then the next person will have to plug it into itunes to set it up again
Dinggus
Plug into iTunes, right-click on your iPhone and select Back-Up. Then actually click on your iPhone and click Restore.
