Vs- Neowin

Hey. I jsut put this together, tell me what you think. It's just like a tribute to neowin.net tell me what you think, sugestions, etc. this is the first to that I've ever made a vs, so I don't care if your harsh, your oppinion matters. :shifty:

This is the 2nd one I made, for those of you who are too lazy to scroll down. :)

Oh and I almost forgot, the "n" in the start menu, I'm going to replace that with a different sharper "n" for neowin.

Got lots of white edges to fix up, and I personally don't like that gradiented taskbar. Let's see what other people think though. I'm just one in the crowd. :p

Well I tried to make it look like the Neowin bars, you see its a tribute. I'm going to make many different versions, including a cell shaded one, and put it together in a pack once I'm all finished. Keep posting.

but its very nice, especially for a first time skinner.. the gradient could use some touch-ups, but i love the arrow thingie and the font (PLEASE DONT CHANGE THE FONT!!).. make it a minimalistic theme, dont go overboard with graphics and ooh-la-la (YES thats a word! :crazy:)..

seems interesting as it is.. im curious to where this is headed (Y)

Someone said I shouldn't change the fonts, but I'm thinking that sience this is a Neowin Tribute skin, I would use the font they have in their logo (top left of page), what do you think of that? Once I'm finished I'll post both so you can choose. Still working on menus and full screen. Estimated time untill post screen shot - 30-45 mins. If you can wait.

nooo dont change them.. if you try to make the skin completely like Neowin, it wont look good.. i like where this is headed btw, according to your second SS..

but if you decide on switching it, can you tell me the name of the font you used in pic1?

Okay, fellow waiters. You hung in there while i took forever (I had to eat dinner :) ) so here you go, here is a preview of the full thing, not just the start bar. I'll take your idea about using both fonts when I post it for Download. NOTE this is still in the works, feel free to post your feelings, what should i change, what should I do differently? The more coments, the more changes, the better it gets! Just keep in mind that it's still a beta, so there will be lots of changes. Post your ideas, they help a lot... well here it is. Tell me what you think. ;)

Working on new version. Wasn't to satisfied with the last preview, nobody has said anything, so i cant get your opinions... but i now have a 2nd perons helping me on this vs so it should be here faster. That person is GizzyProphet. Also stay here, keep checking back whatever, progress is going fast, hopefully the download will be ready for you befor morning. It's 11:12 p.m. now, and we started at 8:30. So It's coming along. Keep posting, we need opinions! :)
