He looks a bit like Jonathan Kent from Smallville in that photo, must be the hair and the facal pose. Put some shades on that photo and he could be doing a csi miami pose too, with cocked head. "time to embrace your destiny..........son.....yeahhhhhhhhh"

I don't know why they continue to redo and redo Superman. Man of Steel i hope will be the last one because theres only so much you can redo a film. But will look forward to this. Hope it can get moneys worth.

Yeah but Superman can't be rebooted like Batman was. Superman can't go super dark/gritty like they did with Batman. Sure, they could do more adult stuff and less kid friendly whatever, but they can't go the Dark Knight route or even Batman Begins for that matter.

Also, I really wonder how Superman is going to be affected by Flashpoint and the DC universe reboot itself. I hope they don't mess with his origin much. But then again, many people find Superman boring (but that's due to the villians and enemies he fights more than anything that's written specifically for him). His new costume looks odd with the red underwear gone lol

Why not? The Dark Knight is gritty and has been massive success. With it $1 billion dollars it is the highest grossing comic adaptation, action / adventure movie and number 7 on all time worldwide grossing list. That is quite a feat.

Regardless of how dark superman can or can't be they need to go all out with some crazy fights and buildings getting leveled or something out of the animated movies imo. Besides superman can go dark, with the baddies mostly taking care of it while superman himself could show some more emotion from time to time, like rage but doing the right thing in the end when he could just as well snap someone in two.

Kingdom Come

Taking Superman dark was the last thing I took from that graphic novel. I felt one of the major things I took from it was that Superman doesn't go dark, he's not one of the new "gritty" superheroes. The thing with the UN building being an example of why he shouldn't go dark - it just didn't sit right!

Papers today are reporting that Chris Meloni will be plaing a General.

Given he's 50 years old this brings this up the real possibility he'll be playing Gen. Samuel "Sam" Lane - Lois Lane's father. Gen. Sam Lane and Superman have a strained relationship because of Lane's deep suspicions of metahumans and especially aliens.

This would jibe nicely with the numerous rumors of the script being based on the Suprrman: Birthright story arc.

Dont you think that the guilt-ridden Clark of the beggining was a darker take of the character? Agreed that you can go all "frank miller" over superman. But he still has human feelings, I hate his image of "cant have any darkside".

    • Google pitches Spanner as one database for all AI agents with these new featues by Karthik Mudaliar Google Cloud is introducing new features within Spanner, its distributed database, as a place where enterprises should keep their data, using which AI agents could make smarter and better decisions. In a detailed blog post, Google highlighted quite a few features coming to Spanner, including relational data, graph relationships, vector search, key-value access, full-text search, and operational analytics together in one database architecture. Google says that today's systems aren't well-made for AI agents. There could be data that is present in one system, search indexes in another, embeddings in a vector database, and relationship data in a graph database. This fragmentation isn't great for AI agents to do their jobs because they don't have access to all of this data in one place. This is where Google is positioning Spanner as a solution. Spanner is already a globally distributed relational database with strong consistency, and Google wants its customers to see it as a broader data layer for AI applications. The company introduced something called Spanner Graph, along with integrated vector search, full-text search, a Cassandra-compatible key-value endpoint, and a columnar engine for analytical queries on operational data. Google also added that its ScaNN-powered vector search can support indexes with more than 10 billion vectors, while the columnar engine can make some analytical scans up to 200 times faster. All of this isn't just exclusive to the Google Cloud Platform, and there's support for multi-cloud as well. This comes via Spanner Omni, which Google says is a downloadable, containerized version of Spanner that can run on Kubernetes and in environments outside Google Cloud, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and even on-premises infrastructure as well as edge deployments. Google says that customers who are interested in the full-featured edition should contact the company, and there's no word on commercial availability or separate pricing. Those interested can read the full blog by Google Cloud, which details these features individually.

    • They have lots of info on me, I have a facebook account and have done so for years, it was the thing to have then. My phone number is not on it. I don't have the Facebook app on my phone these days, just the messenger part, and only for a couple of people to contact me, most will text me via SMS or phone. I agree, Meta, like others, even without an account will know something about me. Just have to try and keep some things private Also, never saw the need for Whatsapp, people used to ask for me to join it, but as I said to them, I have SMS and a phone, use that, or email
