mabe this has been posted alvready, but is the attached a bug?

i mean the left side of the drop down boxes arrows?

its really anooying me..

edit: also, is there a winamp skin? i didnt really bother reading trought the entire thread..

That is not a bug. It is just that for example Firebird renders it's widgets in another way then the default.

If you try it with IE you will see that it works just fine.

It is the only way to make the comboboxes look like the Ximian equivalents. So sorry, can't really do much about it.

I do enjoy this theme like many other themes posted here on neowin, and in my opinion the best themes are posted here, some great themers on Neowin, but i am not going to read any more posts after the first one stating that the theme was made. I have pretty much always done this, and checking out all the posts in this thread was a mistake i wont make again.

The end.

talking about all the flaming? if so, welcome to neowin. that's what this community has turned into. it's like no one has a life anymore, and all they can do is flame people, or stir s h i t. that's why a lot of people have left neowin, or dont post their work here anymore. they go to other communitys where idiots is a minimum.

I'm done with the WB version. Doesn't seem like there's much demand for it and I really don't have the webspace for it, so just PM me if you want it.

Just put it on DeviantArt. You don't need a host for that, just an account and that is free :)

As I explained above, I don't like people modding other peoples work. If you play by the rules you people have the right to mod it and re-release it, but that does NOT mean that I have to agree with that.

That's kinda funny, because that's what you are actually doing. Yours is a derivate work and it must remain GPL. That is the strongest attribute of the GPL. Nobody can take away the freedom to modify. Please make sure you distribute the theme appropriately with a copyright notice and a copy of the GPL.

Also note that the Ximian monkey logo is distributed under a special license.

one of the original Industrial metatheme authors

Good point jimmac.

Schmoove you should read the site below it contains the terms & conditions of GPL works.( like the Ximian theme.)

http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html

To protect your rights, we need to make restrictions that forbid anyone to deny you these rights or to ask you to surrender the rights. These restrictions translate to certain responsibilities for you if you distribute copies of the software, or if you modify it.

For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must give the recipients all the rights that you have. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their rights.

You are already breaking the GPL by not including a copyright notice and a copy of the GPL.

Schmoove im only telling you this to help you out because you do know you could be sued for breaking the GPL and I would not like to see that happen to a great themer as your self. :)

how about we move past that subject and just stick to the theme, no one bit ched about this in the bluecurve thread. why start now? boosting posts? :)

well, since jimmac just registered into neowin just for this I doubt its just for post count, in fact that was his first post

doesnt matter. if you read before you post you'd see the exact thing has been said a million times over :)

moving on...

well, since jimmac is one of the authors of the original ximian metatheme, dont you think his word weights a little more?

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
