I bet.

That was sarcastic by the way. Something that really bugs me a lot is people who try to tell others how to play their game. Sure camping recons suck, but people have just as much right to play that way as others do their preferred way unless they are directly impeding their team mates. The people who try to correct that game play "behavior" bug the hell out of me.

Not saying that guy is one of those sorts of people but I saw it a lot as far as recons were concerned in BC2 and I'm really not looking forward to seeing the hate before BF3 is even out.

It depends, trag3dy. Usually I don't harass 1337 snypz0rz other than swear a bit in the chat since, yeah, they can play how they want. But this style of play does impact the way I want to play the game I paid for as well. I don't feel like getting butt****ed by 16 enemies at once simply because 15 twats in my team suddenly decided that they might need to get some 500 point marksman headshots.

Maybe the lack of gillie suits will reduce the appeal of the supermarksmansniper class, but I doubt it. I wonder what's the state of this in BC2: Vietnam, where recon doesn't have a wookiee outfit either. Haven't played that in a while.

I bet.

As you know I loved recon in BC2, took so much flak for it. As my friends and I would set up our 3 man sniping spot and start killing people as they came. For us.

I always had issues with identifying an enemy in BC2. So many times I'd see someone and I'd look them for second unsure if they were an enemy. I hope they make the costumes on each side more unique.

Edit:

Bf blog

?Recon traditionally has been seen as just a sniper,? Kertz said. ?We wanted to change that perception, so we?ve built several completely new teamplay oriented gadgets specifically for the Recon class so he can be a team player, even if he?s sitting on the top of Wookie Mountain.? We?ll talk more about these toys and how they work in a blog post a bit further down the road.

Perhaps the Recon will have some deployable, armless, UAV?

Damn I meet the Recommend req. exactly. tbh, I doubt that is good though. But maybe there are some great optimizations!

I would hope if your spec is exactly the same as you say, I would assume it would be pretty decent and especially if you have one of the listed cards I bet there is a fair amount of optimization or those considering they were probably the 'recommended' test specs.

I really hope so. I want HIGH settings. NOT MEDIUM

Whenever I played as Recon in BC2, I did my best to support my teammates by spotting enemies and calling down mortar strikes on objectives. I also used it as a close quarters combat. It's surprisingly effective when you use the motion sensor and a sniper rifle (with a red dot sight). With that said, I'm really glad they're making the Recon class better in terms of providing support.

Rumour has it that you can't destroy buildings like we did in BC2... :(

I know it's early days yet, and I shouldn't really make my mind up until I play the beta. But I loved this destruction feature in BC2, I really hope it hasn't been re-worked (aka nerfed).

That sounds like a big case of bitchy pc gamers overreacting.

I can totally understand how having every building totally destructible in an urban environment would end up being totally unbalanced for multiplayer. I can already see half the players constantly dicking around knocking over buildings instead of actually playing the game. Destruction is great, but its not what battlefield is all about. And it seems like destruction will still play a decent part in the multiplayer gameplay.

    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
