Just got my invite for the Alpha trial, will log on and grab it tonight I think. Can't wait to see how it looks and runs on my machine.

Just got up and had my mine waiting for me aswell, guess I know what I am going to be doing til I leave for work later :)

Not expecting much in the game at this point, because of the Alpha status, but will be good to get an early look.

Wish I could get into the alpha, but probably won't :( (same with the early beta, I didn't get moh limited edition :/)

I've played all the battlefield games but have found it hard trying to get them all on my veteran status. I am having a hell of a time remembering my accounts from the older battlefield games. Right now I only have bf2 and bad company on my veteran status.

ask EA live help. they will add them even if you don't really own the games

I don't think it has anything to do with veteran status. The account I got the invite on was a pretty new account with only BC2 on it. The only thing that changed for me was that I pre ordered BF3 last week, maybe that was why I got the invite.

As for the game, I have been playing for the last few hours and it is awesome! It plays a lot better than I thought it would for an alpha, I was also suprised by the fact that the entire game is controled via the browser, you can only launch the game from your battlelog page.

I believe one of their blog posts said the invites were determined by your veteran status and being signed up to the newsletter

What newsletter is this?

I am a Veteran 8, literally have every single main game in my account, swore I signed up for the newsletter, and I have not gotten a single invite. Pretty ****ed about it TBH.

it is random. ppl with no games or vet status on their account have gotten in

Yeah that is what I figured, I just checked, I definitely signed up for the newsletter (I read their FAQ about which newsletter), so yeah, it has nothing to do with Veteran Status.

The latest batch were apparently all those with their ea profile converted to origin account. But dont quote me on it.

I did that Day 1 Origin was introduced.

Maybe they just don't like me.

hmm, what does that mean exactly? I use orgin with my pre-existing ea account already.

I think just that. Linking your main EA account with Origin.

I guess I'm unlucky. I recently found out that the e-mail address associated with my EA account since 2009 hasn't been verified. I found out while I was browsing my EA account and noticed a link that said "Send activation e-mail." Anyway, I received an e-mail that said "In the coming months your EA Account and profile will be upgraded to a new Origin Account." I guess that means older non-Origin EA accounts are not eligible for the BF3 alpha.
