Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830) Preview

Recommended Posts

Greetings Guys,

I managed to play around with the latest Samsung Galaxy Ace when I was scouting for new phones here in the Philippines. I took a video to showcase a quick preview of the Samsung Galaxy Ace. Here's my preview article and the video.

Firstly, doesn?t the Samsung Galaxy Ace remind you of one of their competitor?s products, the Apple iPhone? In terms of design and form, it?s practically identical except for the large button which is ?squareish? and the device bearing the name of Samsung.

Secondly, the Samsung Galaxy Ace is being powered by an updated Qualcomm chip clocked at 800Mhz which is in fact a lot better than the Samsung Galaxy Spica which was released sometime last year. The Galaxy Ace also uses the latest customized Android operating systems from Samsung, the TouchWiz. Moreover, in terms of menu animations and effects everything seems to be fluid and absolutely smooth.

What do you think of the Samsung Galaxy guys?

it has sumwhat got a look that of iphone 3gs and samsung galaxy s but i feel it cant match either galaxy s or iphone 3gs capabilities :( . So obviously look wise i mean to say its like those two phones.

It has got a decent 5MP camera and i feel its sufficient as per as its capabilities for an average user and screen resolution is far better than samsung galaxy apollo(would like to say its for an average user).

But for an average users like me this Samsung Galaxy Ace is definitely their cup of tea and i dont bother abt camera or any other entertainment features like watching a high quality video, gaming or capturing a video.

Web browsing is what i needed and i felt it is much beneficial to be utilized specially for browsing as i am mainly addicted to twitting and face book. :p Although browser lacks built in java still social networking is what i am mainly concerned abt. So for those expecting capabilities of that of Galaxy s or htc desire this phone is definitely not their cup of tea.

    • This makes me think of Dune for some reason.
    • I'm too old to return to the "good old days" when I was installing custom ROMs and tinkering with my devices - now I just want to turn it on and use it. I've read that banking and payment apps work on Murena /e/OS (I'll have to check the ones I use) and I also really want to support Fairphone 😉
