Same group as was around in the 80s? Didn't they have at least one or two big 80s hits? What were they?

I associate them sort of with Echo and the Bunnymen for some reason (perhaps due to "The Killing Moon" by E&B)....

I know one hit was 'Love Like Blood'

They were/are probably more successful than groups like Nirvana, to the extent that Nirvana borrowed a guitar riff from them for 'Come as You are'.

Their latest album is definately worth a listen, some really dark tunes on there, and Dave Grohl is the guest drummer on all of the tracks (probably paying back the favor owed to them by Nirvana)

Found a sample of "Love Like Blood", which sounded pretty familiar. *Definitely* remember them being around regardless. I'll have to at least check out what they're up to--not many groups last so long.

Love Like Blood has got to be one of my all time fave songs!

I gave up on them after Outside the Gate came out. Such a horrible, horrible album! How does the new album compare to the rest of the catalog? My personal favorite albums are Night Time and Brighter Than 1000 Suns.

I cant really comment on comparing their latest with their previous work as I cant seem to find any full songs out there, only samples.. However, my mate is Killing Joke mad, he's followed them from the beginning, and he says that the new album is probably their best ever.. It covers everything from the previous albums: melodic to heavy rock.

Dave Grohl's drumming is also top notch, very 'tribal' and hard-hitting

Their album is in my current 'best tunes' playlist on my minidisc :D :woot:
