DO IT!

problem with a 1Gbit link, is I need to do the test when we are not doing offsite backups (they run almost continiously thanks to them being incremental on change detection)... I think internet we have setup to get a max 50Mbit symetric for users... have to do a test from a server to see what speed I can pull from the internet not-QOS and throttled :pinch: and I don't know if the 1Gbit link also has a 1Gbit internet backbone, the link does go to another location also, its definatly 1Gbit site to site, but not sure about site to internet gateway

Just upgraded to this:

It's Talktalk's offering of FTTC. Pay for 80/20, but can't really get those speeds due to how far from the cabinet I am.

Coming from a 3km+ copper line, these speeds are unheard of for my area - booked installation as soon as the cabinet was enabled. Installation itself took about 10 mins - one engineer at the cab and another at my phone socket installing the VDSL modem.
