I'm glad DeGale got beat. He's got too much of a big mouth for somebody who isn't even a huge name in the professional scene. People like Mayweather can trash talk like that because they've done it.

He might be technically better than Groves, but Groves proved tonight he is the better pro. He had a plan and stuck to it.

Promoter Frank Warren said he would push for a rematch after James DeGale's defeat by George Groves.

DeGale lost his first fight as a professional and his British super-middleweight belt when he was outpointed by old amateur rival Groves.

"The general consensus seems to be that James won the fight, so they should order a rematch," said Warren.

"I don't think George's team will be interested, but there's no-one else for him. It should happen straight away."

Commonwealth champion Groves, 23, was a heavy underdog going into the fight but surprised many, including former Olympic champion DeGale, with his wily tactics and won a majority decision.

However, Warren called Groves' victory "hollow", adding: "One way or another that fight will happen again. If it doesn't happen, George Groves should be ashamed of himself.

"I haven't found one person who thought George won that fight and I'm sure he's got a lot of pride and he wouldn't want it to be like that. I'm sure he wants his victory to be an emphatic one."

Warren said he would contact the British Boxing Board of Control in his efforts to secure a rematch.

I agree there should be a rematch (Y)

World light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly has set his sights on a fight with veteran Bernard Hopkins for the next defence of his title.

Cleverly beat late stand-in Aleksy Kuziemski after being confirmed as WBO champion when Juergen Braehmer pulled out of their fight at the 02 Arena.

A few hours later, Hopkins, 46, defeated Jean Pascal to become the oldest world champion ever.

"Let's get the big fights on," said Welshman Cleverly, who is unbeaten.

Cleverly - who was speaking before Hopkins achieved his historic victory - added his name to the list of British world champions after a farcical build-up to Saturday's action in which his opponent changed from Braehmer, to Tony Bellew to Kuziemski in the space of a couple of days.

And he now wants to work with his promoter Frank Warren to target the top names in the division after taking being awarded the WBO title following Braehmer's late withdrawal.

"They're the sorts of fights I want to be involved in," he added.

"There are some big names on my radar. I've spoken to Frank and we've mentioned one or two defences.

"I think I've earned my world title because I've won the Commonwealth, British and European and a world title eliminator, the interim world title - and finally I've got the world title."

Warren agreed that Cleverly was ready to take on the best in the division.

"I like Pascal. He gave Carl Froch a great fight. But when you look at how Hopkins fought him, I thought he did enough to win that fight... I think Nathan's up there with all of them, I really do," he said.

"There are fights where he wouldn't be able to have a tear-up, but can they take what he's got? He throws really good combinations and stamps his authority on the fight from the opening bell."

Frank Warren is such a ******!

Why should Groves give him a rematch? DeGale has tried to bully him since day one, why let him bully a rematch? I think Groves should start looking higher up now.

Even if they force a rematch I think Groves will relinquish the belt rather than waste his time on DeGale.

Is there a handy chart of who's champion of what at what weight?

http://boxrec.com/title_search.php

is the only one I know of...or there's wikipedia for the weights etc...but boxrec has like the list you can choose weight and then federation (in which there are hundreds haha)

Dereck Chisora will defend his British heavyweight crown against Tyson Fury at Wembley Arena on 23 July.

Chisora, twice denied the chance to meet world champion Wladimir Klitschko, has not fought since August, when he beat Sam Sexton to retain his title.

Unbeaten Fury, 23, said: "Chisora's talked the talk and now he needs to walk the walk. I'm good to go.

"Let's see if he is man enough to get in the ring with a dangerous, young, live opponent for the first time."

Chisora, 27, who has won all 14 of his fights, was lined up to face Klitschko on 11 December last year but the Ukrainian pulled out with a torn abdominal muscle.

The fight was rescheduled for 30 April but was again cancelled so Klitschko could face David Haye on 2 July.

Chisora was crowned British heavyweight champion in May last year when he twice floored Danny Williams in the second round at Upton Park.

Amir Khan's next defence of his WBA light-welterweight title will be against IBF champion Zab Judah in Las Vegas on 23 July.

The 24-year-old British fighter, who beat Paul McCloskey in April, had been linked with fights against Timothy Bradley or Erik Morales.

Khan confirmed the fight on Twitter, writing: "July 23, WBA/IBF unification fight. KHAN vs JUDAH. Mandalay Bay."

Judah, 33, reclaimed the IBF title against Kaizer Mabuza in March.

Writing on his own Twitter page, Judah said he was confident he could win the sixth world title of his career.

"Who coming to Vegas on July 23 to see me become 6x Champion of the World!!!," he tweeted.

His career includes victories over Junior Witter and Cory Spinks, while he has lost to the likes of Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Miguel Cotto.

England's Ryan Rhodes was stopped in the 12th round of his WBC light-middleweight title fight against holder Saul Alvarez in Guadalajara.

The 34-year-old Yorkshireman was the heavy underdog going into the bout and was unable to cope with the unbeaten Mexican, 14 years his junior.

Rhodes was floored in the fourth round of a one-sided contest.

Trainer Dave Coldwell threw in the towel just as the referee ended the bout after a combination from Alvarez.

David Haye admits the heavyweight unification fight with Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg on 2 July is his "career-defining" moment.

Britain's WBA title-holder Haye faces the IBF and WBO champion Klitschko from Ukraine in what may be his last bout.

"This is it, my career-defining fight," said the 30-year-old, who wants to retire before turning 31 on 13 October.

"I took Nikolai Valuev's titles, but there's more at stake in this one. This is my legacy-deciding fight."

Haye excelled as a cruiserweight, but he expects his reputation as a heavyweight to live or die by what happens at the Imtech Arena as he goes head-to-head with Klitschko.

He seized his WBA title from the giant Valuev in 2009, and although the Londonder says he has never fought anyone in Klitschko's class, he believes he is in the best shape of his life to take on the 35-year-old.

"Klitschko is by far the greatest challenge I've faced," added Haye. "I've never met anyone with his attributes before. I've fought big guys, but this guy is faster, more accomplished and has a lot of belts.

"It will take nothing less than a perfect performance to beat him, but I'm training to be faster, more athletic and punch harder than ever before. I know that if I don't do that then things could go wrong.

"But I'm making sure all angles are covered in the gym. Come fight night on 2 July, I'm going to take his head off."

Haye also warned Klitschko - who has earned 49 knockouts in his 55 fights - he will test him out with some big punches early on.

"Wladimir has a lot of speed and a lot of athleticism for a big guy. Rarely do you get someone as big as him being as athletic," said Haye. "But I'm faster than him, punch harder and have greater punch variety.

"He's been knocked down in the past, but whether or not he's chinny I'll find out. If he is, he'll come unstuck pretty soon. I guarantee that I will land on his chin at some stage of the fight. He won't know what happened to him.

"I'll look to stick one on him as early as possible, let him know the power's there. He's going to get punished and hurt. I'm expecting him to come out and have a real good go because of his weight and size. I expect him to press the fight."

Idiot. He still has to fight his brother to trully unify (I think, unless there are some more titles floating around) the HW titles.

After typing that I remembered: James Toney has a HW boxing title. And we know Haye is an MMA fan... :shifty:

well technically there's 4 major titles and he owns 1 and that brother has 2 which means if he wins the fight Haye would have 3/4 so making him the "undisputed"

3 out of 4 isn't undisputed. It's majority champion. James Toney still has a say in all of this.

yeah but technically its undisputed...Lennon Lewis was declared undisputed and he had all the belts when he retired

The term "undisputed champion" is sometimes applied in senses other than the preceding.

The WBA recognizes the title holders from the WBC, WBO and IBF organizations. The WBA refers to a champion who holds two or more of these titles in the same weight class as an "undisputed champion" or "super champion". This applies even if the WBA title is not one of the titles held by the "undisputed champion".In September 2008, Nate Campbell was recognized as lightweight "undisputed champion" for his WBO and IBF titles, while the WBA's own champion was Yusuke Kobori.

If one of the multiple titles held to earn the designation WBA Super Champion is the WBA's own title, then the fighter is promoted to Super Champion and their regular title becomes vacant for other WBA-ranked boxers to fight for. Thus, the WBA tables will sometimes show a WBA Super Champion and a WBA Regular Champion for the same weight class.

The WBC regulations refer to the winner of a bout between the WBC champion and the WBC interim champion as the "WBC undisputed champion".

The description "undisputed champion" was used by Frank Warren and The Daily Express for the Ring magazine championship at light heavyweight won by Joe Calzaghe in April 2008.

anyway its to confusing...because Evander Holyfield has a WBF title and you could say he has a say...and he really doesnt

Wladimir Klitschko has called David Haye's pre-fight goading "disgraceful and disrespectful" ahead of Saturday's heavyweight title fight in Germany.

The Ukrainian was angered by the Londoner's comments about executions, decapitations and ambulances.

"This game, this sport, is very intense and unfortunately there have been a lot of cases where people have been handicapped and people have died during and after fights," said Klitschko.

"It's not something to joke about."

Britain's Haye, the WBA champion, previously wore a T-shirt showing him decapitating the Klitschko brothers (Wladimir and Vitali). He wore a new version of that on Monday.

And the 30-year-old added: "This is going to be the most brutal execution of a boxer that you've seen for many, many years.

"I'm going to go out there and absolutely destroy him, really quickly."

Haye also responded to a challenge made by Wladimir's brother Vitali - the WBC champion - on Monday.

Vitali, a potential future opponent for Haye, asked the Brit to guarantee he will face the media after the bout.

"I'm coming for you after the fight," said Haye.

"Don't go to the hospital with your brother. Make sure you're there, don't go with the ambulance."

It was a jibe that further angered 35-year-old Wladimir ahead of their fight in Hamburg.

"No matter what, it is disgraceful and disrespectful for a man to wish to damage your health," said the IBF and WBO champion.

"It's something you do not say. I felt embarrassed at the way David Haye acted in the press conference. Because it also casts a shadow on the sport.

"I just feel an obligation to give him some rehabilitation on 2 July because it will make him a better person.

"It's very important to put his feet back on the ground. I think with all the wins that he got recently he became really cocky and totally big-headed.

"I'm angry for the last three years but it has transformed into concentration and motivation now."

Haye is no stranger to controversy and in November said his heavyweight title fight with Audley Harrison would be as "one-sided as a gang rape".

The Brit has also refused Wladimir's handshake every time it has been offered, creating further bad feeling between the two men.

And Haye, ever the entrepreneur, has also introduced a game to the burgeoning smartphone 'app' market called 'David Haye's Knockout', with users playing as Haye aiming to knock the head off a giant eastern European.

Idiot. He still has to fight his brother to trully unify (I think, unless there are some more titles floating around) the HW titles.

After typing that I remembered: James Toney has a HW boxing title. And we know Haye is an MMA fan... :shifty:

Actually, James Toney has the IBA heavyweight title, and that's not recognised as a major title. For Haye to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, he needs to have the WBA (which he's already got), WBC (which Vitali's got), IBF, and WBO titles (both of which belong to Wladimir).

The tricky part is that it isn't recognized by the other organizations who also have "world" titles. It's funny and sad at the same time when a fight is described as "WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring Heavyweight titles on the line." That being said, I will follow the fight closely to see how it pans out.

And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. At Computex 2026, together with NVIDIA, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful laptop to date, powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark processor. Details about this computer are currently scarce, as Microsoft has only revealed certain parts of its specs. So far, we know that the computer has a 15-inch mini-LED display, a rich set of ports, a powerful processor, and all-day battery life. It also comes with a new wallpaper, which you can already download here in full resolution. The Surface Laptop Studio is not the only NVIDIA-powered Surface, which Microsoft unveiled this week. At Build 2026, the company also debuted the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, an odd-shaped desktop with a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU and an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 precision, connected via the NVIDIA NVLink-C2C chip-to-chip interconnect for high performance. According to Microsoft, it can run models with up to 120 billion parameters locally without relying on cloud GPU infrastructure. These two new Surface devices are likely to cost quite a lot, and for those who need a more affordable device, Microsoft is preparing the next-gen Qualcomm-powered Surface Pro and Surface Laptop. One of those new features includes the ability to uninstall AI models in Windows 11 with a single click. Windows 11 is finally getting fixes for its slow context menus. Marcus Ash from Microsoft confirmed that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are going to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." According to Marcus, Microsoft will share more details soon. • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
