Tesseract
Will Windows XP Home Edition include the Windows Task Manager that is in Pro? What other things like this will not be in Win XP Home Edition?

Steven P. Administrators Posted August 27, 2001 Administrators Share Posted August 27, 2001 Home version has limited Network admin support (shares must be added with the aid of a script, Drive mapping is disabled) SMP support is disabled in Home and an array of Admin interfaces normally found in 2k or XP pro. Home is basically a dumbed down version of Pro which is supposed to be enough for the average user without the need for real Network management. hope this helps (thats also why its $100 cheaper) :p
mortensen
And the interesting thing that M$ have done is that the Pro version includes EVERYTHING that the Home version includes [apparently]. M$ have never done this with a business home user OS before. This just means that anyone upgrading won't MISS NE features from the Home edition. -mortensenj
