Where are all those bugfixes you were posting? On top of that, you've started talking like a complete idiot, no offence.

Well, I use to post but nowadays I am busy. If seriously talking truth is being stupid then I am OK with being stupid. BTW several of new CSS3 and HTML5 support coming like scoped stylesheet, CSS3 variables, download attribute and inline iframe sandbox.

Is it me or the Social API is laggy on FF 19/20 ?

I also was able to capture this I6LyU.png by clicking all the three buttons at very small intervals , and it stayed like this until clicked again or a new notification appeared.

It's not you. Until Mozilla ever going to redo their gecko layout engine from scratch, lagginess is a permanent "feature" in firefox. They finally brough back the tab order animation and it still lags. They also seem to stop caring about the jerkiness of the newtab animation. I have to disable all the bell and whistle in about:config to make Firefox livable.

How do you make the downloads panel display ALL downloads from the PANEL? Meaning I don't want the separate window opening up. It used to do that, but then they changed it to only display 3 or 4 at a time, or whatever the number is. Anyone know what I mean and how to fix it? I'm hoping there's an about:config option, so I can set it to display all current downloads without having to click on show all downloads to see the rest of the downloads.

That is as per design , and I think you can't do that as of now. What is the problem with current method ? Earlier it used to take entire vertical space and look annoying , also you couldn't use search feature to find a particular download.

Care to tell us which things you disable in about:config? ;) :)

firefox 18 beta 1 is so much faaster than v17, ionmonkey is nice :)

Nightly is roaring on my side and Yes! FF17 and FF18 has many great snappy fixes. Although Ion Monkey is not much ready for its prime time, although since now Brian Hackett is back, goods think and JS Team will be little more active now like today or tomorrow Nightly will have "Off the Main thread compilation" which will not block main thread during JS compilation.

Yes, you just gotta make it the default browser.

No it doesn't. Even Nightly doesn't have Metro Fx... how do you expect beta to have it?

Now I'm just confused. I'll probably just go ahead and install it and if Metro isn't included then I'll just keep it on there until it lands.

I thought a read on the Firefox Wiki or Firefox blog two months ago that Metro about was going to land on 18.

I believe these are the Metro builds

Yes, Detection is right. Firefox 18 does have the Metro UI when you make it the default browser. Download Firefox Aurora to get the Metro User Interface. But you will have to make it the default browser and you will have to launch Firefox from the Start Screen.

I have Nightly as my default browser and no Metro UI from Start Page. :/ You need to download a specific build, not just some aurora...

Metro work is being carried on "elm" branch which is different from mozilla-central from where the Nightly builds are formed, elm branch keep update by merging mozilla-central on regular interval, only elm branch builds have "Metro UI". Once elm branch will merge with mozilla-central then Nightly will get Metro UI.

When that happens I stop using the Nightly builds unless it is a choice.

    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
