So I'm just now getting around to watching season 6...

3 episodes in and I have to say it's been the worse season start yet.

It's all moving so slow. The killings are a snoozefest.

Nothing interesting. All very predictable.

The whole Dexter and his kid thing I feel is meaningless time on the screen.

The whole Religion theme vibe I'm getting from it so far is completely not interesting in the least.

Speaking of which; Mos Def's character is the only thing remotely interesting so far.

Again, I just finished the 3rd episode. So I'm hoping something starts developing soon.

I'm really hoping the twist isn't going to be what we all think it is, and while I still love the show, the writing is nowhere near on par with the first few seasons!

Also I fear this person may have gotten the ending spot on :\

Dexter will ultimately find out Gellar isn't real, and in Travis' mind.

Dexter will still want to kill Travis, but taking in what he learned from Brother Sam coupled with Travis' obvious mental illness, Dexter will allow Travis to live and let the justice system have him for once.

Dexter will learn understanding and forgiveness, which has been the major theme of this season.

Hmm, it is all possible, there would be a few holes in the way the acting and such was done if the first point was valid. Maybe I am missing the twist you all seem to know is coming.. I definitely don't see it.

This season has to be one of the better ones, I honestly found the Trinity one and the one with the big Mexican/Cuban to be boring seasons.

I don't see the twist either. So far I LOVE this season. I just wish I had the rest of season so I could watch them back to back.

The first point was the twist, if you're looking for it, there are massive hints and especially in the last episode to back it up. But then again it could just be a red herring from the writers, either way it still makes for entertaining TV!

Maybe I am just looking at it too basic? Like I don't see how he could be chained and bloody with a poker in the fire without Geller.. unless this is fight club all over again? Spoiler some of the hints, the only one I could possibly see is Dexter not Seeing Geller.

- no one has interacted with geller whatsoever except travis, even when other people have been in the same room, e.g. when the woman serves travis coffee she completely ignores geller who doesn't even have a cup or plate.

- in episode 5 they are praying near the start. travis looks at geller and a close up on geller shows blood on his head. travis double takes and then the blood has disappeared in the following close up of geller. travis talks about only being able to hear his own voice banging around in his head soon after this

- his sister describes travis as a good artist/painter in front of her class. i don't think we've seen travis paint once, but we've seen geller do it plenty of times.

-just watch it as someone with deeply worrying mental issues and internal struggles and it makes just as much sense

etc...

regarding this ep (sorry)

again, gellar isn't really necessary to explain anything. we know travis rode past his sister's as deb was leaving so we know he knew she spoke to the police. why might a crazy ass person tie himself up and burn himself? that doesn't need to be explained. also remember certain physical arrangements don't have to be literal. i know in this case dexter found him tied up but be prepared to take things like that as metaphorical, either as a sole explanation for certain depictions or as an underlying thing... e.g. the good part in travis is being held back. the show has already had dexter's bro pitchfork someone!

geller disappeared when travis's sister called...

travis's childhood background and relationship to sister is very similar to dexter's. dexter is a psychopathic serial killer.

We have seen travis paint. He restores old paintings and such as a living

okay, that all makes perfect sense, I definitely didn't watch it deep enough to think like that. It is true though with Dexter as a prime example (The dead/not around characters he sees as real).

sorry, i dont know if it's really necessary to wrap all this in spoilers... i'd just like to add that i think there are enough facts about geller to be sure he did exist once. but i think he's probably now dead, unknown to anyone else. my guess - inspired by the blood that was briefly trickling down geller's head - is that travis killed him for some reason and he's probably rotting in the abandoned church somewhere. hey, one twist for those already expecting the geller's-in-his-mind twist might be that geller is still alive - perhaps far away and completely ignorant of what's going on with travis, or perhaps held captive by travis, who knows. could prove interesting if dexter ran into geller whilst still in the dark about all this ;)

All of that doesn't explain why the girl Travis let go said there was two people. She was hearing things, too?

All of that doesn't explain why the girl Travis let go said there was two people. She was hearing things, too?

She never said she heard two people if you listen closely to what she says, she said something along the lines of, "I heard one of the men refer to the other as professor". She never actually heard two people and just assumed that if someone is talking to another person known as "the professor" then there must be two people!

That is where it's at its most ridiculous. But remember she had a blindfold, can't remember off the top of my head but I'm sure it could be explained (however ridiculous). Look, the writers aren't completely dumb, there is absolutely no doubt that they are aware they are writing this in a way which allows this interpretation. It's fully intentional. Whether it's a double bluff or haven't made up their mind on how to end it I can't say.

Edit, nice one Kyle. Not so ridiculous.

Yeah I'm pretty much agreed with you on the two scenarios you posted about Gellar as well, anyway all the speculation makes me get psyched up for the finale!

And I just rewatched when the girl was talking and the conversation went:

Girl: "One of them kept calling the other professor, but I didn't see either of them, I was blindfolded"

Batista: "There were two of them?"

Girl: "The younger guy was the one who let me go, I sorta could tell that he was the weaker of the two. The younger guy said he kept calling me the ######."

and then later she describes how she thinks the professor jammed his knee in the back of her head to keep her mouth open, and that "the younger guy kept saying he was sorry, so sorry for doing this to me." It's very cleverly worded to make you think she was in the company of two people, but she never actually heard the professor speak. Again though, this could be entirely wrong it's still all speculation at this point, but along with the points snappy put, there's some pretty strong evidence against him being real!

Well, it appears they went with the FightClub ending after all. Would have loved if they had pulled a fast one on us and had Gellar be real but somehow convince Dexter and us that he was dead. But it's the ending everyone has predicted. Don't see the need for spoiler tags as everyone who's been watching has been expecting this. If it wasn't for FightClub and The Usual Suspects, this may actually have been a good ending, but unfortunately it's too predictable now. Loved everyone

getting covered in blood

though

Poor Deb, everything keeps getting worse for her.

Well, the sister of Batista is getting involved with that nerd and he's probably not 100% clean..... So that's something they could develop a bit...

Yeah, poor Deb, but I'm getting tired of Quinn....

Only 3 episode left.... Season 6 will be over.

    • Passkeys: Think of them like a broken heart necklace. Imagine one of those heart necklaces that breaks into two matching pieces. One person keeps one half, and the other person keeps the other half. With passkeys, the website has one half, and you have the other half. If the website gets hacked and someone steals its half, that stolen piece is useless by itself. It cannot unlock your account without your matching half. This particular heart necklace is one of a kind, there is only one in existence. Your half of the necklace has to be stored somewhere. It might be stored on your phone, tablet, computer, security key, or a password manager that can sync it between all your devices. A security key is a small physical device that you keep with you, kind of like a house key, car key, or flash drive. I would not usually recommend a security key as the first option for the average person. For most people, it is easier to use their phone, computer, or a password manager that can sync passkeys between their devices. A security key is more like a spare key you keep in a safe place, just in case you lose access to your other devices or your password manager. Some security keys plug into your computer. Some plug into your phone or tablet. Some get tapped against your device. The idea is simple: a security key can hold another passkey for the same website. Think of it like creating a second one-of-a-kind heart necklace for the same account. One necklace could be paired with your password manager, while another necklace could be paired with your security key. That means the website has more than one matching half on file. One half matches the passkey in your password manager. Another half matches the passkey stored on your security key. So, if you lose access to your phone, computer, or password manager, you would still be able to log in using the passkey stored on your security key. Think of it like keeping an extra special necklace piece on a tiny keychain, stored somewhere safe. The website still has the matching half for that security key, but your half is safely stored inside the little key. A passkey does not automatically exist on every device you own. It lives wherever you save it. If your half is stored on one device, then that device is the one that has the matching piece. For example, if you create the passkey on your Windows computer and it is only saved to that computer, your iPhone does not automatically have that same half. If you create it on your iPhone and it only stays on that iPhone, your Android phone does not automatically have it either. That is where password managers come in. A password manager can act like a protected jewelry box for your passkeys. Instead of your half of the necklace being locked to only one device, the password manager can securely sync that half to your other approved devices. For example, Apple Passwords and iCloud Keychain can sync passkeys between your Apple devices. Google Password Manager can sync passkeys with your Google account. But password managers such as 1Password and Bitwarden can sync passkeys between everything, your phones, tablets and computers. Now, you might ask: “What happens if I lose access to the device that has my passkey?” That depends on where your passkey was saved and what recovery options the website gives you. If your passkey was synced through a password manager, you may be able to sign in from another device that has access to that same password manager. For example, if your passkey is saved in iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, 1Password, or Bitwarden, another approved device may still have access to it. If your passkey was saved only on one phone, computer, or security key, and you lose that device, then you may not have your half of the necklace anymore. In that case, you would usually need to use the website’s backup login or account recovery options. A lot of websites that support passkeys still let you fall back to your regular password. So if you lose access to your passkey, the site may still let you log in with your password, a code sent to your email, a text message, a recovery code, or some other account recovery process. That is convenient, but it is also important to understand: if the website still allows password login, then your password still matters. Passkeys are safer than passwords, but if your account still has a password as a backup, you should still use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication if the website offers it. This is why it is a good idea to have more than one safe way back into important accounts. For example, you might keep your passkey in a syncing password manager, add a second trusted device, save recovery codes somewhere safe, or set up a backup security key. A passkey is very secure, but just like a real key, you need a backup plan in case you lose access to it. Now, you might ask: “What stops a hacker from copying my half of the necklace?” That’s the important part: your half is protected. It is not something you type in, and it is not something the website gets to keep. Think of your half as being locked inside a tiny safe on your phone, computer, security key, or password manager. That safe only opens when you approve it with your fingerprint, face, PIN, or device password. When you log in, the website does not need to see your half. It only needs proof that your half matches its half. Your actual half is not handed over to the website. This is different from a password. With a password, you type the secret into the website. If you type it into a fake website, the hacker now has it. With a passkey, you are not typing your secret into the website. Your device is proving you have the matching half without giving the half away. That also helps protect you from fake websites. If someone makes a fake login page that looks like the real site, your device can tell it is not the real match. It will not use your passkey there. Now, could someone use your passkey if they stole your device, got into your password manager, or somehow unlocked the safe that holds your half? Yes, that is why your device password, PIN, fingerprint, face unlock, and password manager security still matter. But a hacker cannot just steal your passkey from the website or trick you into typing it into a fake page like they can with a password. That is why passkeys are safer than passwords. The two matching pieces have to come together, like two lovebirds who were once separated and are finally reunited.

    • I heard from a lot of people that driver support for the latest games when RDNA first came out (Radeon 5000 series) was pretty bad, but if you didn't buy the card on day one, or were not trying to play the latest titles, then you were isolated from that issue. Other than that, it's been good and only getting better.
