Recently, a listing for Alan Wake Remastered was spotted on the Epic Games Store. Since then, we haven't heard much about the project — let alone received confirmation that it even existed — until today. Twitter user Wario64 discovered that it was up for pre-order on Rakuten Taiwan's website.

The release date is listed as October 5, 2021. Since October 5 is a Tuesday, this could be genuine, instead of a mere placeholder. We'll keep you posted as soon as we learn more about the project.

Remedy Entertainment now holds the publishing rights for Alan Wake so it seems like an opportune time to reignite interest in the dormant franchise. The listing says it's coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 alongside the Xbox platforms.

Alan Wake focuses on the titular character as he battles shadow-like creatures using his flashlight — and guns — as weapons. The game is regarded as a cult classic nowadays and it's beloved on PC and Xbox platforms.

Are you interested in Alan Wake Remastered? Will you buy it for current-generation platforms? Let us know.
