Dell unveils Inspiron Gaming Desktop, offering competitive performance at affordable prices

In addition to unveiling new 24- and 27-inch Inspiron all-in-ones today, Dell also announced its new Inspiron Gaming Desktop PC, "built for gamers seeking a competitive advantage at an affordable price".

The new PC features a versatile tower design with a "unique, finned chassis", which Dell says is "purposefully designed for optimal airflow and temperatures for uncompromised, uninterrupted gaming performance". Like many desktop PCs aimed at gamers, the Inspiron Gaming Desktop is available with integrated LED lighting, which - according to Dell - provides "an even more gripping gaming experience".

"Select configurations" of the new PC will be VR-ready, but these will cost more than the most affordable options in the range. Key features and specs of the Inspiron Gaming Desktop include:

  • AMD Ryzen processors
  • Graphics card options up to AMD Radeon RX580, or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
  • Power supply options up to 850 watts for supporting dual discrete graphics

  • Performance cooling options

  • Up to 32GB DDR4 RAM
  • Up to 2TB HDD + 256GB SSD dual-drive storage options
  • Waves MaxxAudio Pro with Performance 7.1 Channel HD audio
  • SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port and up to six SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports

The Inspiron Gaming Desktop goes on sale today in China, and will be available in other markets around the world "in the coming weeks", priced from $599.99.
