Huawei announces availability of the P40 Pro+

Huawei today announced that pre-orders for its P40 Pro+ are now available, and the handset will begin shipping on June 25. Those that buy it from the Huawei Store will get some perks for the £1,299 price tag, as it will come with a 46mm Watch GT 2 and a 40W SuperCharge Wireless Charger.

The headlining feature of the P40 Pro+, just as you'd expect, is the camera. While the P40 has a 3x telephoto lens and the P40 Pro has a 5x lens, this device actually has two telephoto lenses. One of them is 3x and one is 10x, allowing for up to 100x hybrid zoom. The main sensor is a 50MP RYYB Leica-certified lens, allowing for better low-light capabilities than what you'd see from competitors. And finally, there's a 40MP ultra-wide lens and a time-of-flight sensor.

There are video improvements as well. Huawei is promising ISO 51200 light sensitivity, along with 7680fps Ultra Slow-Motion video capture. Being that it's powered by a Kirin 990 chipset, it can also record 4K 60fps video, whereas the previous generation couldn't.

You'll find all of the flagship specs that you'd expect, such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6. It comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and it will run you £1,299 or €1,399.
