Lenovo announces new smart devices with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa

As part of its second wave of CES news, Lenovo today announced a new range of smart devices with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. On the Alexa side of things, the firm announced the Smart Tab M10 and P10.

The two devices are tablets that come with a speaker/dock. When it's not in the dock, it's just a regular Android Oreo tablet, with a Snapdragon 450 chipset and a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 display. The M10 has 2GB or 3GB RAM, and 16GB or 32GB storage, while the P10 has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

But when it's docked, the tablet turns into something like an Amazon Echo Show, adding an additional dimension of functionality. You can use it to show you Amazon's X-Ray song lyrics, show recipes, weather forecasts, and more.

For Google Assistant, Lenovo is introducing the Smart Clock, and it's exactly what it sounds like. It's a clock with a four-inch 480x800 display, and it has Google Assistant built into it. It also supports Assistant's gentle wake-up routine, and it also has Chromecast functionality so you can use it to stream TV shows, music, and movies to your TV.

The Smart Tab M10 and P10 will be available this month, starting at $199.99 and $299.99, respectively. The Smart Clock with Google Assistant will be available this spring for $79.99.
