Mortal Kombat 11 announced for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch

The next entry in the 25-year running brutal fighting game series Mortal Kombat was announced during The Game Awards today. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat 11, reveal arrived with a cinematic trailer featuring the usual gory fighting we expect to see from the series.

The trailer description reveals that the game will feature a brand new graphics engine to show off even more of the close-up carnage that occur during fights. It will also allow players to heavily customize the "Klassic" and new fighters that will arrive with the game. As expected, the story mode will also make a return.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be available on basically every platform - PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch - simultaneously on April 23, 2019. Pre-ordering it will get fans access to Shao Kahn as a fighter as well as to a closed beta in March. However, note that the beta will only be available to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players.
