Xiaomi held an event today where it introduced a number of new products, including new entry-level smartphones, but also a variety of smart products, accessories, and more.
Perhaps most notable is the Mi Smart Band 5, the company's latest fitness tracker. It has five new exercise modes - such as cycling, elliptical, rowing machine, and jump rope - for a total of 11, a more accurate heart rate sensor, and more.
The AMOLED color display is 20% larger than the predecessor at 1.1 inches, and there are 65 display styles to choose from. There are also six band colors if you want a little more personality. Despite the larger display, the Smart Band 5 still promises 14 days of battery life, and Xiaomi also improved the charging mechanism, so you no longer need to remove the tracker from the wrist band to charge it.
The Mi Smart Band 5 costs €39.99, but there'll be an early bird pricing of €34.99 on the company's website. You'll need to check your local Xiaomi website to find when pre-orders start and how long early bird pricing lasts.
There are also the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic, which were previously teased. They feature 14.2mm dynamic drivers, a dual-microphone setup to cancel out background noise, and automatic play and pause with in-ear detection. The buds also feature touch controls, and battery life is five hours for the buds alone, and 20 hours when paired with the charging case.
The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic will cost €39.99, but early bird pricing will be just €29.99.
In the home entertainment segment, Xiaomi introduced the new Mi TV Stick, with Android TV and support for Dolby and DTS surround sound support. The device is powered by a quad-core CPU, and it has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also has built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant, which you can summon with the included Bluetooth remote.
The Mi TV Stick also costs €39.99, with no early bird price mentioned.
Another addition is the Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34". As you can glean from the name, it's a 34-inch monitor for gaming, and it actually has a few compelling features. It's a 21:9 display with a WQHD resolution (3440x1440), a 144Hz refresh rate, and FreeSync Premium support. Xiaomi says the display covers 121% of the sRGB color space, it has 300 nits of brightness, and a 1500R curvature.
The Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34" will cost €399.
Finally, there are a couple of new electric scooters, with the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 offering a 45km range, an LCD display to view and manage features such as the headlight, and more. It costs €499. Meanwhile, the Mi Electric Scooter 1S, which has a smaller 30km range and a "more streamlined" design, costs €399.
