Windows XP Pro x64 VLK Leaked

Recommended Posts

It looks like the VLK version of Windows XP Pro x64 leaked a few days ago on Bittorrent sites and Usenet. Originally, the VLK version was leaked without any CD keys. But, as of today, CD keys were leaked onto the Internet. With these CD keys, the activation is bypassed (also known as the "corporate" version).

The infamous "Corpfiles" has also been released. The files in "Corpfiles" converts OEM versions of Win XP x64 to corporate version.

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft decides to start blacklisting CD keys like they did with the original Windows XP.

As I understood, if you had a 64bit processor, you could trade in your XP 32bit license for a 64bit one. For Free.

Yes.... if you have a legal WinXP Profesionnal 32...

Don't count for those that use XP Home or a cracked edition of XP...

    • Back when I used to watch cable television, I used the mute button continuously... I picked up the habit from my father who was doing that with his decent Zenith TVs back when they made decent products, say 60+ years ago. When cable debuted as "pay television" the scuttlebutt was that television was going ad-free. Hardy-har-har... We dropped Netflix years ago as the services and programming deteriorated. Services that force-feed me ads I don't care to see I tend to shun, but with computers and programmable Internet television at least the ads can either be blocked or else rejected 90% of the time. But some of the ads Google runs are either so bad or so fraudulent that it's hard to believe they are running.
    • That name is kind of disingenuous, they should have called it RTX 5085 or 5090 Lite.
    • Users baffled by odd official Microsoft design that remixes Windows 11 with 10 by Sayan Sen Recently, Microsoft finally rolled out a fix for a major issue wherein the shell components on Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 were broken on certain computers. Shell essentially comprises the main UI components of the Windows desktop, and that means interacting with the OS itself would have been difficult. UI and UX are basically the user-facing front end of the OS, and they are key to any device. Last year in April, Microsoft praised itself for how "special" the modern Windows design is and even went as far as to say that user feedback alone would not have made that possible. Microsoft, however, has to take into account user feedback some of the time, especially when the criticism is just. Recently on Reddit, a user Androbots, pointed out the very odd-looking design choice from Microsoft in a recent Windows 10 update wherein it seems like the company simply stuck bits and pieces of Windows 11 onto a Windows 10 platter. The issue indicated by the user is on the "About" page inside the Settings app, which essentially provides some basic details about the hardware and system specifications of someone's device. The user wrote, "How was this UI update approved? This looks like it was glued on by someone in a modernization team and called it a day without any respect to the original Windows 10 design language." Later, to make sense of what was going on and in a bid to fix the problem, the user dug up one of Neowin's 2024 news articles wherein we had reported on the redesigned About page that Microsoft was working on inside Windows 10. Sadly, none of the feature IDs worked for them when they were applied to restore the original UI. Image via Androbots (Reddit) As you can see in the image above, the aesthetic certainly looks a bit out of place, as if Microsoft simply used rehashed Windows 11 design material on Windows 10. The post was upvoted by many users, indicating that they agreed with the OP's confusion and frustration. This inconsistency, however, is not totally unexpected. Earlier, we learned that the company is moderinzing some of the older bits and pieces of the OS that have been around for over a decade, including the Windows 8-era spinner as well as the Run dialog box. However, given that Windows 10 is no longer officially supported, at least not outside of extended security updates (ESU), we doubt Microsoft will revisit and fix this "issue" unless it's a visual bug that can be patched quickly with minimum effort. Plus, Microsoft's focus has been on AI and Copilot for the most part, as we recently learned that Redmond was actually looking to launch a dedicated web-based Windows AI OS. Source: Reddit
    • EU needs the money, and the EUC lawyers dream at night about more of those huge commissions... Personally, if companies do things I don't like I don't purchase or use their products. I can think of few things worse than the horrid specter of government designed & "approved" software. But I guess things are different in the EU. I'd likely feel differently about this stuff if the lawyers did it pro bono, and the billion-dollar fines were rebated to the consumers the EUC claims it is protecting--but that never happens. The bizarre thing is that EU consumers seem unaware that all those fines come back to the companies forced to pay them in higher costs for the goods and services those companies sell them. Why that bit of logic escapes their attention is puzzling. So, now, we just sit back and wait on the next pretext the EUC lawyers come up with to rob these companies whose products no one in the EU is forced to buy and use in the first place. Rinse, repeat. It's become a very addictive habit of the EUC.
    • When companies do "opt-out" it's because they know that no one will opt-in...
