Right click advanced menu missing

Just installed WIn8 on desktop. Added it to domain (laptop was on domain before, doesn't have this issue). Now the right click 'admin menu' isn't working. Any ideas? (the one on the bottom left of the screen).

Does Win-X bring it up? If not then the question is, is the domain yours, or a corp domain of some kind? If the latter they may have put policies in place to block it.

What's the functional level on your domain? 2012 or maybe a legacy policy is having unexpected results

Winkey + X does not work either. My domain is probably 2008 R2 domain as I upgraded it in place. It is just a home network.

At that point it sounds like some sort of policy is turning it off.

If that is the case, how come the laptop is not affected? It is same build, same domain, same profile.
