win8 Internet disconnect during install of network printer

Whenever trying to install a printer/network printer on Windows 8 my wireless network disconnects. The icon still shows it's connected but webpages don't load anymore. All other internet services are also disconnected.

Anyone have a reason/solution for this?

Belgacom B-BOX2

but this also happens on my home router: Thomson tg789vn

My laptop is an Asus with following adapter: Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter

Try assigning the printer / laptop a static IP, maybe the printer is causing an IP conflict

  Google seems to be advertising it enough on different streaming services, I don't watch normal TV as i refuse to pay for a Tv licence. (UK) i have disabled it as much as I can on my phone, I have not changed Google assistant to it and yet still get notifications saying please change to Gemini. If I don't use google assistant, then what makes them think I want to use Gemini? As i said, it is disabled or as much as i can.
