Earlier last year, Google launched its very own premium music streaming service, YouTube Music. This was a revival of its previous service from 2014 which offered similar features. While there is a free version of YouTube Music, users still have to put up with ads. The ad-free variant, YouTube Music Premium, costs $9.99 per month.
A new campaign targeted at students was announced today, offering three months of free subscription to YouTube Music or YouTube Premium for new members.
Google"s YouTube Premium package includes ad-free access to YouTube, YouTube Music, offline downloads, and background play on both services. New members usually get one month of free trial membership after signing up. Just a few months ago, both services were expanded to more countries.
