What? They say it gives you the ability to use two monitors while in SLI, but then it says you can "easily switch between multi-monitor mode and full screen 3d gaming mode".....well, if you can use two monitors while in SLI, why would you need to switch? Anyone with SLI and multiple monitors that can test this and explain exactly what it means (is it just easier switching, as in no reboot, or actual SLI with 2 monitors?).

I think it works like this:

- when using more than one monitor each card power it's own monitors

- when going in 3d mode all the cards are powering the one monitor the game is on

I have a computer running a 9800GX2, but cannot update the video driver at the moment, my main concern for this multi-monitor while in SLI is this reference image of a GX2:

GF9800gx2.png

Above the image (on nVidias site), it says "Plug two monitors into the DVI and HDMI connector on the bracket with the blue LED."

What if my monitors do not have HDMI, can I plug one monitor into each DVI port and still run multi-monitors in SLI mode? It doesnt sound like it to me, which at least in my case, makes the "multi-monitors" in SLI completely useless as I wont be able to run the card in SLI-mode still.

Anyone with a single GX2 that is able to test plugging a monitor into each DVI port to see if they can run both monitors while in SLI? I would download and try it myself if I could, but I wont be able to for a few hours at the least.

My computer crashed after installing these. I didn't uninstall the old ones first, but I never do that. Anyway, windows couldn't boot, rebooted and displayed the prompt asking if I wanted to boot into safe mode. I just went to last good configuration option and it got my computer working again.

I'm running xp sp3 32-bit w/ all updates.

Has anyone got these to work? If so, did you uninstall the old ones first?

They worked without a hitch for me on XP32. I also always remove the old drivers before installing new.

    • Thanks free chatgpt. The issue is, with most browsers, is you shouldn't need tools to remove anything. It is the whole point of extensions. The only browser so far to man up and be honest that it needs money to function is Brave Origin. Don't like the monetisation and code bloat, have a clean browser for a one off $ charge. Firefox used to be that, but now it is a code bloat browser, hiding AI.
