What do you mean, what do Me and XP have to do with it? They change their naming schemes all the time. Before Me they did it by years (95, 98, 2000) and before that version numbers (1.x, 2.x, 3.x,). Plus we already have Windows 7 so they would just be continuing with the current scheme, and I'm pretty sure I read they had announced the name Windows 8 as final.
