MW3 is garbage, its just a pretty shooting gallery, men spawn constantly until you push forward they even give you 500+ rounds for your gun because they know all you can do is spray at the waves of respawning enemies.

Each mission is a ridiculous OTT setpiece to the next, cant believe i wasted ?35 on this garbage.

if you expected anything else from the SP (which has been that way for the last 3-4 games) that's your bad. MP is where it's at.

I didn't really, I just wanted an end to the story as I enjoyed CoD4:MW and MW2 to a lesser extent, I'm just disappointed at how trite the game is and how many clich?s they can throw in a second. There is no down time its just push push push to the next kill-box with re-spawning enemies.

For the cost of the game and the amount of brain-dead morons who buy it because its Call of Duty I would have expected a half decent single player experience.

This is where anything you have ever said goes straight out the window.

Why because im right and you dont want to face the facts?

Activision doesnt even have to try, they can just repackage last years game with an even more ridiculous moronic story and the sheep will buy it because of the name. As proof by the amount of people who bought it day one.

Can anyone explain to me what the story was other than you are chasing the bad guy from MW2? It doesnt even have its own story it just finishes off the last game, this almost could have been a mission/addon pack to MW2.

no one buys it for SP... well grinder did. i haven't even finished SP yet...

So because it has a popular MP segment they dont even have to try with SP??????

i personally liked the SP, but that strategy worked out for that game in your sig and others didn't it? (even though any SP campaign DICE has put out there has been just a ****ty CoD clone)

At least DICE tried something different. BF2 didnt even have a Singleplayer outside of offline bot practice. Bad Company 2 was a step in the right direction but it still felt like you were playing in multiplayer maps. With BF3 it has a half decent SP experience, it doesnt do everything right but at least they tried and didnt just repackage an old game just because the Multiplayer component is the thing people buy it for.

see there is where the different opinions kick in, cause DICE SP's was **** at best and even they knew because they stopped promoting it. To me it was a crap CoD wanna be.

single player experience, to me, is a step up from MW2. I know the engine, the HUD and almost everything else is the same but. In my opinion, the missions are more engaging here than they were two years before. Tue large scale battles are great.

Yes, enimies continue to respawn unless you move forward. But what else would you expect? This here is a fast paced game which won't stop giving the player fun(if he is having it) for the whole thing and which is whT is good about the game.

I know how you and why you are disappointed, I know this feeling but this is really what you paid to get. I mean, it looked, at first sight, to me, the exact same thing as its predecessor but few things have been tweaked and are for the better.

Obviously the innovation we saw in 2007 is gone but if you compare the first two, there was a significant difference on the games. Q new engine and game mechanics being two of them. Sure the story wasn't on par with its predecessor but the difference was there and , in my opinion, it was a step up.

Going from 2009 to 2001, you don't see much difference.

Maybe you Re right. Maybe they are after money more than ever before but this is how all others are. You really can't blame them.

I know they are to be blamed here fo lr a lot of things and they should be, straight out.

Xompaieing it with its predecessor, there isn't much to see here but what else we expect. After seeing all the trailers and gameplay footage, it was clear to me that it is straight out a complete derivative of its predecessor. Nothing more we can expect here.

Maybe they are working on something more big and innovating like 2007. That's why they just got their yearly job done as soon as possible so that they have more time for the next one.

What new engine and game mechanics, its using the same old tired engine with a few more shader effects just so they can say its a new upgraded engine, Having played CoD from the beginning and counting from CoD4:MW I fail to see what new game mechanics theyve included. Most of the stuff in MW3 has been in MW1 and 2 in some form or another.

As for the story, i say what story. Having finished the game now I'm still none the wiser to the point of the story, it was just an incoherent jumble of action sequences with some trite clich?d narrative just slapped on top.

This could have been MW2.5 and just saying "oh its a derivative of MW2 you shouldnt expect anything more" is just ridiculous, for a $60+ game id want my moneys worth.

I completely agree with you. For this price they are releasing a DLC kind of thing with 90% of the same things as seen in the previous version.

I was talking to a friend about this and he said these are 'proven mechanics'. COD fans will enjoy it.

I don't think proven mechanics should stay here forever. I mean there was a significant difference between the first and the second one in regards of the multiplayer but when we compare the latest one and the MW2, there are only a handful of new things which, in my opinion, don't justify the price tag.

Still, InfinityWard knew pretty well that no matter what we throw into the market, it'll sell like hot cakes. And this is what is happening.

I know a lot of people who are buying MW3 just because everyone else is buying it. Just because it is set to break the records. And a lot of these are kids.

Bottom line: They, in my opinion, are just focusing more on younger audience and are completely or partially ignoring the rest.

I, for one, would've liked a new engine, a new HUD, a new theme e.t.c e.t.c, if they expect me to pay this price.

Couldn`t agree more you TheLegendOfMart. I too bought it for the SP as Ive never been a big fan of COD:Mp. It just seems to be a case of how well/quickly you can pull the trigger as your constantly running the map, as god forbid anything like tact should be used.

Madden.

It happens. It's gonna happen. Nothin' we can do about it.

Don't buy it. I didn't/won't.

"Brain-Dead morons"

Whats funny is the fact you are basically labeling anyone who likes game as "brain-dead morons." I will not take anything you say seriously. You are obviously very mature and quite cocky with an answer like that stating "you're right" when you are far off.

He is only trying to say that whoever doesn't point out the obvious stupidity of Activision, InfinityWard, SledgeHammer is brain-dead moron.

I don't think he is saying that to everyone who likes the game.

Maybe its just my interpretation

If this is how he meant it, then sure I agree although that's not how I understood it. Then the reply was pretty hateful. :/

Having never played MW1/2 i've got nothing to compare it to.

Your avatar explains this line :p

Guess I happen to be one of the few who has never played or bought a COD game.

Ver few indeed but you missed one of the est shooter of all time.

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
