any of you guys have a problem that in the Menus there is lag? LIke I get lag from going from the main menu to the multiplayer menu. (What I mean is that the smoke surrounding the soildier is really choppy). I also hear my disc spinning a lot when I start my game up even though I have installed the game to my HD. Also, after any match, it seems like it is going to freeze my system, and then after a few seconds later it pops up the previous match specs.

I've been reading this problem around the net .. seems like I'm not the only person having this problem. ... :s IW better fix this. Apparently from my research, this is happening after the latest patch was applied.

Mine does the same thing, almost like the game got uninstalled. I am going to try and uninstall the game and reinstall it to see if it fixes the problem. The lag however I do not have, it's smooth it just takes a second to load the multiplayer screen then hitting Xbox Live presents a delay while it loads the online profile.

I've been reading the dashboard update Microsoft released for security is screwing with retail discs, so that may be why it's spinning. I noticed my MW3 disc started spinning up when I'm playing after I got that update, but I never really paid any attention to it until I read about it. You aren't the only one having that problem. As for your other issues, I'm not sure about that.

this game needs to stop catering to noobs... it's kind annoying. especially douches who have no idea how to play DOM and camp a spawn point that literally will do nothing but make us lose the game.

also, a lot of people bitch about the spawn system in this game, but it makes sense and completely adds more strategy to the game. the game will always spawn you to the safest location one of your teamates are at (that why i hate people who camp in DOM at places that aren't gonna help you win a game). So if you have a dumbass on your team who is camping a random spot where no one is, you will spawn there, but if you team is all together fighting then you will spawn closer to them and closer to the actually fight.

Playing objective based game modes in almost any CoD game is really frustrating most of the time. More often than not, it seems I'm on a team that literally doesn't care about the objective at all. They just want to get some kills and kill streaks. I just finished a game in which we were getting dominated and my teammates were walking by the flags because they wanted to kill people.

Agreed. If you want to play TDM, go and play fricken TDM. Don't join Domination because you suck at TDM and frequently finish in the bottom 3 and the only way to look better in kills is to play a mode that's objective based instead of frag based....

Gah!

Grinds my gears...

My COD experiences... spawn, die, spawn, run 5m, get headshot, spawn, shotgun kill in the back, spawn, helicopter/missle takes me out, spawn, run, shoot enemy, get a kill, die straight after kill from enemy buddy, spawn, die from grenade, etc :p

Finding it as difficult as I normally do to get used to a fast paced shooter. I went about 4-17 the other day :(

LOL

My experience is pretty much the same.

Not that I have gone 4-17 or anything.

I guess this kind of gameplay suites some people

I'm quite skilled in MW3 and I also find myself getting killed again and again by grenades, air support, and people that spawn behind me. I think it's attributed to a bad spawn system and poor map design. MW2 had better maps that were more open.

I rented MW3 before trying it, knowing what I was getting into. I do agree, there is some really annoying aspects such as spawning as well as tiny maps. The maps truly do feel smaller than any COD before, which is saying something because they're small to begin with. But... I've since returned it after beating SP and trying out MP with a 2+ k/d after 20 some-odd games, I'll probably get MW3 bargain price (lulz cod bargain!?) to play yet another shooter with my roommates.

this is the same good MP from any of the MW games, and similar to Black Ops. it's more challenging than any of the ones before, though, i don't think it's due to poor design - maybe smaller maps? and the perks actually make more of a difference now. i'm too old to get frustrated by gaming anymore, so for me a ridiculous K/D ratio is fine.

I don't really care about K/D. Well I do but not that much.

What I do care about is me having fun and where I'm having fun, K/D matters little

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
