random but win + y is now aero peek instead of win + space

Yeah, which is a bit of a change to get used to since I use peek a lot through winkey+space. Now though Winkey+space changes your keyboard language and setttings iirc.

that's what it's like on absinthe (default green) or purple drank (custom purple skin)

you start to get tipsy and press the wrong buttons dude. LOL

Alright so Tom Hounsell managed to change that green strip, however by hex editing. Later today I'll be adding a layer in between the background and the GridRoot and pointing it to the image in shsxs.dll.

Nice Job Panda X! Is there a possibe way of changing keyboard commands? Btw Remember those good O' days with Oscar and his longhorn projects? You started to become mad and tire of longhorn

That's good if you want a picture, probably the same one you have set as the desktop wallpaper I bet, that'd make it feel better to many people i think. If/when we can easily set a image or have it be the same image between the two UI's then the transition into the start screen will feel smoother and less of a surprise. It'd be kinda like OSX's new Launch Pad or the big app launcher that pops up in GNOME3/Unity, except with tiles instead of big icons and a list.

I think it'd look 10x better with not only a background but glass tiles (if that's possible).

+1

incase, someone missed it

All files are located in shsxs.dll. There's also some stuff in twinui.dll. Going through them all is going to take some time.

Got this after messing with twin: http://i.cubeupload.com/l9atic.png

hey, how did you pin desktop IE10 to the start page? I couldn`t do that here. :(

This.... launchpad's thing is pretty slick and this would help.

Could you release your version too please. As Hounsell only seems to be releasing the light-blue version which looks horrible IMO. I prefer the purple.

Here's my last edit for the night. Credits to: http://tehosc.deviantart.com/ for creating the background. It's transparent so the main background is shown behind rather than the default opaque image.
