Iv had my opt-in ever since you could opt-in and i haven't got mine yet :(. I'm starting to wonder if blizzard sends them out to mac users more so than pc users.

Without wishing to depress you too much, the pool of people they have to (fairly randomly) choose from is massive.

What? You mean, as in there won't be any Aussie/NZ servers when the game is released, ever??

My bad, at the time there were plans for now Aussie or NZ Servers. But now there seem to be. Found this on

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/services/auction-house/regions

Auction house purchases are bound to the servers in the region in which they're bought. Any items acquired on the Australia/New Zealand/Southeast Asia servers, in-game or otherwise, are bound to those servers and are not transferrable to the North American servers (and vice versa). Please keep this in mind when making purchases in the auction house.

So there must be AUS/NZ Servers?

Maybe the player base in those areas are larger than they expected? Or maybe there won't be an AUS/NZ specfic server, but a whole eastern server? Similar to the NA and Oceanic of WoW?

Yea im thinking a Whole Eastern Server also.

No PVP, no play.

That's one game scratched off the list.

I'm betting by the time you would have (you know, since youre not buying it now) hit level 60 the patch will probably be close to coming out. I'd rather get my gear in order before getting into PvP anyway. Oh well, more server bandwidth for me!

Nope, no Paladin.....the only returning classes are Barbarian and Wizard (sorceress). I guess you could argue that demon hunter = amazon, but not really, only 1 thing in common w/ amazon (ranged attacks). If you had to pick a class that was closest to paladin though, Monk...they have a few Aura's (called Mantra's) they can use that do different things (life regen, dodge rating increase, etc), but really very few of the classes are anything like the original D2 classes, so lack of paladin isn't really surprising.

oh well, guess I'll have to hope for a paladin option in the first expansion

Out of curiousity has anyone played the beta on a Mac? If so, how well does it run because I'm getting the iMac 27" with 8 gb of ram and the highest gpu for that model.

Uhh no your not getting that piece of crap, your going to out buy a case then buy the computer parts and put them inside the case.

At first, No PVP at first release seemed bad. But after a little thought, it is ok. This will give people plenty of time to get their characters built and thought through in term of PVP. You can't just make a character and have him PVP ready. Normally, it requires going through the game, multiple times, to get the items and levels needed to be able to be a force. So Single Player only isn't that bad , as long as they don't take too long to release PVP.

    • What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.
    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
