That's Activision for ya.

No, that's Blizzard. You can't just turn Activision into the bogeyman for everything - Blizzard very likely still has control over their own prices.

The world of digital download pricing is weird. I believe part of it is that they can't undercut the retail stores, but that never really explains it fully.

Yeah, if you got access! :(

Mmm Sweet Beta Access. Makes me feel all warm inside.

Actually the sad truth is After having played through each class a few times (been in beta since the second round of invites) I only sign in after a new patch to check out the changes and I dont play much. Cannot wait for the final release though :D

Erggh, I ordered the Limited Edition from a game store about 7-8 months ago, I've since moved to another location. Turns out the franchise won't move my pre-order to a new local outlet (EB Games). Gonna mean I am left without the game for a week or two after release.

Suppose I have got the Beta until then though. And StarCraft II (which I probably will always prefer over D3 anyway). Still, can't wait. Should be fun. I just hope it's not destroyed by hackers/spam bots.

I've been in beta for a couple months and tried each class too. I won't play too far because I don't want to ruin the surprise on release day. Not to mention levelling and gearing up just to be wiped. ;-) I'm sure this doesn't break NDA, but does anyone else have horrid graphical performance? I am running the gaming machine in my sig and there's no way this game shouldn't be easily handled. I get lots of drops in frame rates and delays in spell casts because of it. I'm hoping it is just because there is a lot of debugging code in there.

not really certain how anyone can look at this game and think that it is Diablo 2 with a new coat of paint. The game is VERY different sure its still an Iso top down action game but the game play is a lot different :p

Yeah, I agree. The mechanics and classes are completely different. Anyone who says it's just a prettier D2 is a huge troll.

Just a heads up, the beta does actually end so you can't physically go "too far" on it. The beta is about half of Act 1 from the final game. Also there is no NDA but I can't say I am having any graphical problems, been running around 40fps with eyefinity 60 without and vsync on. I have however experienced a lot of net lag which can feel like fps lag at times, all the beta servers are over in America so lag is very prevalent in the UK

Try turning down the "voices" option in audio settings. The max setting requires some insane cpu power.

Thing is D2 was awesome.. so even if it is a D2 with fresh paint.. it's still awesome ;)

While true, I do not think I can play a game like D2 for very long anymore. As I have aged, so has my preference for gaming......I don't feel I can play a game like D2 for another 5+ years like I did with D2, so I probably won't pick it up, at least not right away. As awesome as D2 is, if it were released today I wouldn't play it for more than a week or two.

Are you sure? I've heard that the end of the D3 beta is the equivalent of the Blood Raven quest from D2....if that's the case, it's only about 1/3rd of Act 1.

Finally got around to playing the beta earlier this week, and it's not bad. It's been a while since I last played the first Diablo (never played the second one), so nice to get a little blast from the past. :)

    • Microsoft brings Planner Agent to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users by Ivan Jenic Image: Microsoft Microsoft has announced that Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot is now generally available to all users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Planner Agent is the latest addition in the string of AI features that Microsoft is implementing across virtually all of its products. The agent lets you manage tasks through natural language prompts directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. You can create and update tasks, check priorities, and get insights about current entries without leaving the chat interface. The general availability release comes with a handful of new additions on top of what was available during the initial rollout. A new plan picker lets you search and filter your plans by name, then update task names, statuses, due dates, or priorities through the agent. There's also a goals bucket now, which lets you group tasks under specific goals. This builds on the Goals view, a feature that was introduced as part of the broader Planner refresh that rolled out earlier. Image: Microsoft | Planner Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot All AI-generated plans and tasks are created in draft mode by default, so you can review and approve changes before anything goes through. This is actually a thoughtful safety feature, because trusting AI to handle all your tasks without a human in the loop is usually a recipe for disaster. Having tasks initially saved as drafts is the best possible middle ground. Microsoft also says that not all tasks are executed equally. Simple tasks get processed quickly, while more complex ones, like building a plan from a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, are handed to a more capable model. Microsoft says this approach delivers the best performance, but it could also help with usage management, as you won't have to waste tokens on performing simple tasks. Planner Agent is available now across Teams, Loop, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps for anyone on a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
    • To be clear I'm anti trump, the bigger point is why review this game at all?
    • Trillion dollar Microsoft has to reduce spending by hurting more people. Good job Microsoft. Good Job Asha.
