First of all, they have a script they must stick too. Second, how old is your friend? The script may be based on age, how the initial petition was sent, etc. Third, what happened to your friend? Were items taken? Was gold taken? What?

I had my wow account hacked, and within 30 minutes of e-mailing Blizzard I had all my gear, gold, and items back on all toons that were hacked as well as 3 charges to my credit card reversed.

Hey Firey. Did ya make it to level 50 :p We beat Skeleton King pretty easily in Hell mode, but the mob packs were and still are a huge pain in the ass. I bought a Legendary fist wep that boost my dps to 2500, but I'm being taken out by most special mobs with in a few seconds.

If you are up for it, I think I get all of tonight to game.

I finally got to level 50 last night. Finished off Diablo on Nightmare. Hell, here I come!

Sweet dude. Whats your class? Hell is where it gets real lol. You will need an escape skill for those "oh ****" times, which will come often and very fast.

Demon Hunter. Was wanting to join you guys on nightmare, but I wasn't good enough yet. I still die alot. LOL.

I plan on having a 60 of each character.....But Im confused about an achievement. It says to level a wizard in 2 different ways... yet you are free to change your skills all the time. How do they realize that you have leveled a certain way? Will they go by just you using a specific array of skills through a certain difficulty? Anyone understand this?

I can't believe "/huggles" and "<3" are in the script you claim they have to stick to. I don't see why it matters but from what she's told me she lost gold, items, and characters. And sat there and watched someone else play her account for about 2 days while blizzard told her, in fact outright refused, to do anything about it.'

It's the first time she's ever had an account hacked after years or playing various mmos including WoW.

Softcore and hardcore.

So.. how did she sit there any watch someone play her account? Also why wouldn't she change the pass and add the authenticator? Seems to me she let it happen lol.

@Shakey, no I didn't get to 50 yet. I stopped playing shortly after the run. If I get a chance to play tonight I will.

If anyone is interested,

I spent awhile farming the past couple of days, and got the Staff of Herding made. I only have it upgraded to Nightmare at the moment. When I get the 500k, I'll get the Hell version upgrade.

But if anyone wants the achievement, or to check out the Whimsyshire secret level, just let me know and I'll take you there, so you can slaughter cuddly animals. :p

On the Monk nerf:

Bashiok:

It's essentially being nerfed to the point of obsolescence until we can implement a new rune in its place in a future patch.

And they weren't kidding. The heal, and Boon of Protection are worthless now. Oh well, time to figure something else out. =/

sure, send me a FR on diablo.

Just had my first coop experience and I'm not sure I understand how it fully works in regards to XP and furthering the story. If one were to not participate in a fight, does that person still get XP/quest completed? I was messing around with my gear and the 2 other guys in my group completed a quest and I got the notice as well (this was a public-random game I joined).

You'll get the XP and gold for completed quests as long as you're in the game. You won't, however, get any XP or gold you get from killing monsters (unless you're near anyone that kills monsters).

Done with nightmare with my level 51 monk.. here's my post nerf build:

You'll need better gear for Hell. Trust me.

Jeez, I'm like, just barely into Act 2 on Normal. I feel left out of all the fun :(

I wouldn't worry about it. You're better off taking your time and enjoying the game, instead of rushing through it. If you rush through it, you won't get to savor the story/experience, and you will just end up sitting at Inferno Act 2 for however long it takes for Blizzard to fix it. I'm trying to pace myself so that by the time I do get to Inferno it will, hopefully, be fixed.

I'm pretty sure the achievements you're talking about just mean to level two of each class. I don't think it matters what skills you use. And it doesn't matter if it's hardcore (dumb) or regular.

This article claims that Diablo 3 is related to his death, but it was really lethargy that did it. I'm sure his health was terrible long before he got his hands on the game.

According to someone who posted on the official forums that claimed to know him in real life, this guy had apnea. The coroner who reported to the scene said he died from that and not a heart attack. It's sad that he will be remembered more for the coincidence than anything else.

I too am taking it slow in the game, enjoying the storyline and hitting every side-dungeon and exploring every portion of the levels. Hopefully some of the issues with melee characters on higher difficulty levels gets fixed by the time I get to them. I'm in no rush.

I make sure i fully explore each area and kill each monster prior to continuing to the next area. (which is one of the reasons it is taking me so long)

    • Microsoft fixes one of Excel Copilot's most frustrating limitations by Usama Jawad Microsoft began integrating Copilot into Excel a couple of years ago and has been upgrading it with new functionalities since then. While some changes have been controversial, Microsoft is hoping to win over users by allowing them to be more productive via Copilot. To that end, it has now announced a Copilot improvement that may actually be appreciated by people who use it regularly. Excel customers often use the Copilot prompt box to issue instructions to format and customize their data, but it can become quite tiring to keep repeating the same instructions again and again. Microsoft now allows you to define Copilot personalization rules for formatting, naming conventions, formulas, and report styles. These can be accessed via Settings > Personalization, where you can explain your rules in natural language like "Always format currency in USD with no decimals", and just let Copilot take care of the rest. Microsoft is going a step further in this direction by allowing you to set workbook rules too. These rules are stored as a .Rules sheet, and are preserved while the workbook is shared. This fosters collaboration while making sure that standard rules govern the Copilot editing experience across the organization. Other advantages of this capability include pointing it to specific examples, defining dynamic formulas, and referencing an entire sheet and asking Copilot to infer rules based on that. You can leverage this feature by opening Copilot in Excel, clicking on "+", and selecting Create workbook rules. If you have an existing .Rules sheet, you can simply start listing the rules in column A as well. Personalization features are available to all Copilot in Excel users across the web, Mac, and Windows. Meanwhile, workbook rules are currently being previewed for Windows and Mac customers on the Insiders channel. General availability is scheduled after a few weeks, but a concrete date is currently unknown. Overall, the Excel capability is quite similar to ChatGPT's memory features, which allow you to permanently store items in the AI model's context window.
    • Imagine you still haven't discovered Total Commander that is doing all those things for three decades already...
    • This sounds like underneath the nice marketing spin, either someone at Adobe got tired of their lazy devs and asked Microsoft to help them sort at least some of Adobe's ancestral spaghetti code to make it go faster, or Microsoft wanted Adobe's crap to run better on Windows to make it look better when compared to Apple, so they offered to intervene. Either way, GOOD.
    • My favorite file manager for Windows 11 finally gets a long-requested feature by Taras Buria Files is among the best File Explorer alternatives for Windows 10 and 11. This free app is packed with all sorts of features and conveniences, but there is one crucial feature that is still missing—Tree View. Fortunately, the latest update in the Preview channel finally delivers it. With version 4.1.4, which is now available for download in the Preview channel, developers implemented Tree View, a new mode that displays folders in an expandable hierarchy. Windows 11's stock File Explorer always had this feature, but it was nowhere to be found in Files until now. Starting with the latest preview update, you can expand each drive and its nested folders without leaving the current location and then open the folder you need in the main view. To try Tree View in Files, update the app to the latest preview version, then click the small arrow next to a drive to expand its content. The developers say they are rolling out Tree View in Preview first to gather feedback from users and improve the feature before bringing it to all in the stable channel. In addition to Tree View, Files 4.1.14 improves the Windows Fonts folder. You can now preview each font directly in Files with no need to open the built-in font viewer. For now, these two features are only available in the Preview channel. For those using the stable release, developers recently released version 4.1.3, with improvements for the built-in tag system, on-demand folder size calculation, and plenty of various fixes. You can check out the full release notes here. You can download Files from the Microsoft Store (paid version) or its official website (free).
    • Who is paying for this 30x scale-up? Its sounds expensive.
