No I'm on Hell, but are you saying that Blankman is more powerful than Thor, Juggernaut or Batman???? lol

I think it means that one is as powerless as Blankman on the hardest settings. That each level makes you progressively weaker.

Ding Ding Ding :)

In normal, it is easy mode, you are basically a god and you probably wont die. Nightmare, you are strong as hell still, but you probably will die a few times. Hell mode, you are a man with some power, but no where near super powered, as you still have to use tactics. Inferno, you are a normal human trying to kill super hordes with what seems like a plunger :p

For me, the gameplay in Torchlight 1 is not near as tight or interesting as it is in Diablo 3. I'm looking forward to play Torchlight 2, and was kinda bummed that it didn't come out sometime before Diablo 3.

Same. Although I have gotten a chance to check out a beta of TL2 and honestly I wasn't really impressed with it. It's fun but it's not really as fun as D3 is for me. Maybe something to play for a little bit after I'm done with D3.

That sucks :(. I had issues logging in on the release day and then a little bit of an issue last night. Other than that, no real problems. Blizzard is issuing refunds to people not happy about server downtime.

This. I had issues logging on at launch and I had issues for about 5 minutes yesterday but other than that I've been able to play without issue whenever I wanted to. Sorry to hear that some people are still having login issues though.

This is dead on... I sure do feel like Blankman :p

Haha that's a great image.

Servers are offline yet again.

@ Shakey : Yeah, sure.

We will be performing maintenance on Thursday, May 31st. Maintenance will begin at 11:00 AM PDT and conclude at approximately 12:00 PM PDT. During this time, servers and many web services will be unavailable. Thank you for your patience

seriously.

I suppose you could take it that way (now that I think about it lol).

Also, does anyone know if the gear you put on companions (like say, +% Magic Find) affects your character, or ?

I believe you get 20% of your companion's total magic find and/or gold find added to your own. The percentage might be off, but you definitely get some of their mf/gf. Just not 100% of it.

For people having issues getting into the game... what's going on?

I'm stuck in an infinite Update loop. The little box pops up saying Updating Setup Files,

it seems to be downloading stuff, then it starts again. Grr...

I would close the launcher and restart it. Sometimes that helps, though I'm speaking from second hand knowledge. My launcher has always worked fine.

Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe using Global Play until that region has been patched to 1.0.2a. (Patch 1.0.2a is already available in the Asia region.)

Yeah, was able to login about 10 minutes ago. Didn't play though as the game is very laggy in OS X compared to my Win7 boot camp. Just a quick [rant - Apple is really ****ing me off with their game support. Blizzard has always made the effort to make hybrid releases which is awesome but Apple still hasn't figured out how to support major gaming. With my HD 3000 I am getting 30fps in v-sync with Win7; in OS X I'm fluttering 18fps. Can't wait to get my gaming PC built. /rant]

I hope I can get through Normal here in the next few days. I kind of wish I would have rolled a Wizard but I'll trudge through with my Barb.

edit: Those of you using the authenticator, do you have it set up to ask for it every log in or just the standard once a week? I have it set to the former but am wondering if its overkill because if it doesn't recognize where you are logging in from it asks you for it anyway.

I haven't changed the authenticator settings since they implemented the "if you change locale, you have to authenticate again" method. I've only had it ask me a handful of times but, if you are truly paranoid, you can leave it to ask each time.

Remember somewhere in this post how I stated that you could get multiple Neph Valor buffs from the same group... well, apparently this is how it happened :p

"

Killing lifelinked packs for easy Nephalem valor buff

If you happen upon an elite pack that is lifelinked, you will receive a valor buff for each individual of the pack. So that is 3 easy valor there. "

I have a question for those of you working on Inferno mode:

I am thinking of re-rolling a Demon Hunter. How are they in Inferno? I have heard the melee classes are the worst to pick, so I was hoping ranged would be easier to manage. I will be playing with a RL friend most of the time (Barbarian), but I would like to solo farm occasionally.

Range is supposed to have it easy because it is easier to kite. If a mob surrounds though a Wiz or DH, they will drop just as fast or faster than the other classes. The melee classes are supposed to have some tweaks in store for inferno that will make them more viable. At the moment, it is a painful grind in Inferno as a Monk :/ until I get the "right" gear.

    • Threads scales past half a billion users, brings deeper community and feed controls by Fiza Ali Meta has announced Threads crossing a major milestone of 500 million monthly active users. And, at the heart of this growth sits something simple: communities. From books to basketball, parenting to music, Threads says its rise has been powered by people clustering around shared interests and, in turn, giving the platform its identity. In response, the platform is expanding its Communities feature beyond beta and introducing a set of new tools designed to make participation easier and more engaging. A redesigned Communities Hub will now appear in the main navigation menu, allowing users to jump between groups without leaving their feed. Each community will also receive a distinct Community Icon, giving them clearer visual identity and making them easier to recognise across the platform. Then there’s Community Progress, which is a kind of live gauge showing how close a topic is to becoming a full-fledged community, alongside guidance on how users can contribute to its development. In addition, Meta is also expanding its Community Champions programme, recognising more users who actively contribute to community engagement. And then things go more local; Local Communities is already available in 100 countries, including North America, South America, Asia, and Europe but are now rolling out with native-language tags starting in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The platform is also expanding Live Chats to more communities in the coming weeks, adding features such as co-hosting and the ability to quote moments directly into users’ feeds. Beyond communities, Meta is tightening the loop between users and their feeds. Earlier this year came "Dear Algo," a feature that lets people tell Threads what they want more or less of. Now it’s being paired with a new tool, "Your Algo." It allows people to adjust how frequently certain topics appear, with options lasting one, three, or seven days. Meta says these preferences remain private and can be managed alongside “Dear Algo” in a unified settings hub. The rollout begins in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Finally, the company says these changes are part of an ongoing effort to refine Threads based on user feedback and that further updates will continue as the platform evolves.
    • You pay just $100 per TB with this rare 4TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD deal by Sayan Sen SSDs and GPUs are incredibly hard to get nowadays due to high pricing. Discounts are quite rare which is why we report on them as soon as we spot a good deal. For example AMD's new 9070 GRE was finally up for sale at a very good price of just $500 thanks to a special coupon. Sadly that deal is gone but if you happen to be looking for a 4TB NVMe SSD and can spend around $400 there is a really good offer on sale that you should not miss out on as TeamGroup's 4TB G50 model is on sale for that that price which means you are only paying $100 per TB, a very good deal in the current market (purchase link under the specs table down below). The TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe SSD is a PCIe Gen4 drive and as such it promises to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s, helping accelerate game loading, file transfers, and everyday computing tasks. Since this is a 4TB drive you can use it for a gaming library to take advantage of things like DirectStorage. The SSD features an InnoGrit controller and SLC caching technology to support consistent performance. An ultra-thin, patented graphene heatsink is included to aid in heat dissipation. Get it at the link below: Team Group T-FORCE G50 4TB Internal SSD (TM8FFE004T0C129): $449.99 + $50 off w/ promo code SSF69668, limited offer => $39.99 (Sold and Shipped by Newegg US) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified. • I agree. I also think Phil stayed too long. They should definitely fire whoever thought all a console platform needed was Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to survive. Asha and crew are still saying they need more Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. They simply don't get it.
