School Punishes Boy for Opposing Homosexuality

Recommended Posts

People are born with their skin color, but nobody is born with a particular sexuality. Therefore it would be illogical to say "being black is wrong", while "being gay is wrong" is a perfectly logical statement (and also understandable when you've been brainwashed by your religion for your whole life).

Anyway, why do you feel the need to say "what if he said X"?

What if he said "I hate people who see what I said and say 'what if he said this'"?

What if he said "I hate people who Capitalize words which aren't meant to Be capitalized in mid Sentence"?

Apart from the whole "born gay or chose gay" issue, where in there is no consensus, what happens when we find a way to bleach the skin easily?

Then people can choose to be white. Thus will being black be wrong then?

/shrug

The school got it wrong, and it would appear the teacher was pushing an agenda. That's where the problem lies. He pushed an agenda, then punished the child for not agreeing with him on the matter.

The point is, at the end of the day it was nothing but an opinion. That in itself doesnt constitute a punishment. But as for bleaching the skin, that still doesnt change who a person is. A black person bleaching their skin white doesnt make them any less black then a white person tanning themselves make then any less still a white person.

Indeed, and in fact I said the school got it wrong, so well read there.

Based on your differentiating skin bleaching from being gay, I take it you think being gay changes you as a person..

Like you never see a black guy affected by his skin colour and the situations he faces/faced as a result of it.

Well played..

I didnt suggest that. There is a difference between who you are mentally and who you are biologically. Yes your biological factor can have an affect on your mental factor. Still a black person bleaching their skin doesnt make them white.

It seems like the school did overreact but at the same time thoughts that are like that really shouldn't be thrown around. No one gains from negativety and to those saying it was his church... how do you know that? It could have been his parents pushing him or maybe he has represses homosexual urges (I find most homophobic people do).

Btw I'm not a religious person so don't think I'm sticking up for the church, I'm just saying we have no idea why he would make a comment like that.

I don't get this. Government wants people to bear more and more babies, and because government wants even more people than women want to deliver they import millions of immigrants. On the other side they spend billions encouraging homosexuality. What's the point? Look at Germany - they have overwhelming levels of homosexuality and that's why Germans have basically no children at all, Turks now make children for them. Is it what the government really wants?

Yeah, and I don't like anyone that lectures me who should I like or not like.

LOL. The situation in Germany has nothing to do with "high levels of homosexuality" - speaking to a very good (German) friend of mine, he was saying that it simply became "unfashionable" in the last decade or two to have kids. People there seemed more preoccupied with improving their social status, acquiring material posessions and just going out and having fun - doing the family thing simply became less popular for a time. I'm not sure if that's still the case.

And it's probably not that there are more gay & lesbian people in Germany.. they're probably just less embarassed about showing it off because the population are more tolerant / accepting!

Besides - we arguably need more homosexuality.. world population continues to increase and we're only going to run out of room and resources if it carries on. My personal feeling is that it's a built in genetic population limiter / control.. nature trying to save us from ourselves a bit and help regulate the number of people on the planet! :)

yeah, it's a paradox, isn't it? The homosexuals can't reproduce, but they keep on multiplying! (not saying it's bad)

imho pop culture is the greatest contributor:

Just a decade or two ago this video would have been banned, no doubt about it.

A nephew of mine saw this on TV and asked me who they were... I was really flabbergasted then  I was totally not ready to explain this to a child.

He liked the video thou. They show everything the kids want in these videos: icecream, ipad, strawberries...

You couldn't be more ignorant if you tried. The reason why people in highly developed countries, such as Germany, have less children is because both men and women work longer. Having children isn't a necessity for various reasons like in poorer countries either, whether it's believe or work related. Next to that it's highly unlikely there are actually more homosexuals in Germany, people are just less afraid to be open about it. Fundamental difference right there.

I didn't say nobody is born gay, I said nobody is born with a sexuality. That includes hetero as well.

I also wasn't talking about whether or not it was moral, I was talking about the illogicality of the statement.

To answer your question though, the color of someone's skin doesn't change who they are, and (as a guy with pale skin) I'd say that anyone who bleaches their skin would be an idiot, as people with very pale skin are prone to skin cancer.

Umm, many gay women have had donor sperm, and gave birth to kids.

Gay men have used surrogate mothers.

?Dakota is a very well-grounded 14-year-old,? she told Fox News Radio noting that her son is an honors student. ?He?s been in church his whole life and he?s been taught to stand up for what he believes.?

I don't think those two statements go together. If you are a well grounded individual wouldn't that mean you are open minded and not prejudice towards other people who are different than you?

Well-grounded isn't synonymous with open-minded. And some folks can have such open-minded personalities that they let all the junk get into their brains and start to believe all sorts of absurdities. Open-mindedness doesn't imply rationality :)

Yes, Shirley MacLaine is open minded enough to believe in astrology, ghosts, new age spirituality and occultism.

Just because he stated an opinion you don't agree with does not make it prejudice or hatred or any other negative connotation you want it to have, it's a simple difference of opinions, that's the main reason the school didn't actually punish the Boy, he stated an opinion and the teacher was the one who overreacted and made a bigger deal of it that it really is

There's always going to be people that don't agree with you, I hope for your sanity you don't run around acting like they are all prejudiced or biased because of that

How do you positively spin a narrow-minded opinion based on an irrational, fairy-tale belief system? Of course it's prejudiced.

It's called an OPINION for a reason, everyone has one, if anything YOU are being prejudiced by not being open to others views and opinions

Get real. His "opinion" is worthless and based on hate and ignorance. It has no value and doesn't deserve to be acknowledged. There's nothing good or redeeming about bigotry.

Agreed 100%.

His "opinion" is the same as if he said "I do not like black people." Same concept.

    • I did think about a Echo show once and it would be useful to see what my cameras see. But my brother got one and I changed my mind. Adverts and not really worth the price just to see my cameras. I have a load of dots and a Echo Gen 4, they will do.
    • I asking where you are from or live, because if you don't live in the U.K, why are you so bothered? That is another reason I voted out, E.U and people poking their noses in where they should not be. Sadly we still have it, Trump, and his cronies. Putin as well and no doubt others. It makes no difference what we believe, if we made the right choice or not, we are out. As I said to someone when the news first broke we have voted out, we just need to make the best of it. I have no problems with closer ties to the E.U, we still need to trade. Just don't want to be in their club.
    • So you think I voted out because i am anti-immigrant. I am fed up with those that come over and think that we owe them something. The ones that are at the moment coming over from France where they are already in a safe country because they think and no doubt will get everything chucked at them. While people who were born and bred here get very little. I have nothing against as i have said before those that come here and work. In fact I know full well that our NHS would struggle without them. I do have a problem with those that come over here and try to push their religion and their way of life onto us. My reasons for voting out was because of what the E.U is and is also becoming. I did not agree with Freedom of movement, not because I don't want people over here, but because people need to be checked before being allowed to cross borders and that goes both ways. But my main thing was because the E.U is becoming if not already a united states of Europe. The only reason countries like Poland and Romania joined was because they had no money. When my partner left Poland, she had nothing, Poland had nothing, that is why she left. Wanted to learn something and earn a living. The E.U would have us back according to Michel Barnier. https://www.euronews.com/my-eu...ator-barnier-tells-euronews Why are you so scared to say what country you are in?
    • I wonder what that line really meant...
