Not exactly. I figured it out. Yyou must have killed the heretics in ME2, prevented Tali from dying or becoming exiled in ME2, and a few decisions in ME3. Also, as I found out, the last mission you do on rannoch is Destroy the Reaper Base. If this is not the LAST mission you do on rannoch, then Tali will die. I made the mistake of doing the mission Destroy Geth Server last.

So Tali is alive, Quarian fleet saved, Legion dies regardless, and both Quarians and Geth working together. Geth invite the Quarians back to rannoch so now the Quarians are settling back on their home planet. Tali joins your squad. She is located in the engine room.

Anyway, Legion always dies as well as Thane. Also, either Mordin or Rex will die but you choose which. Mordin will die if you reveal the sabotage and Rex will end if getting ****ed if Shepard lies to him and Shepard has to put him down.

I did it with rewriting the heretics in me2, its possible. Destroying them gives you a better chance of being able to do it though, that decision among a few others decisions/factors add up and decide if you can do it or not.

Didn't make them myself. Credit for those goes to some folks on Bioware Social threads, guys

So I finally watched the whole indoctrination video.

in case it was never posted. This makes the ending seem so much better IF this is what Bioware intended. I feel like DLC could continue this story after all it is the only ending to show him alive at the end and the rubble he is sitting in could be where he was laying when they tried to take control. My anger of what was going on clouded me from seeing this well crafted ending as it all makes sense. But then again this wouldn't be the first time a fan made theory made way more sense then what really happened.

If so, Bioware is true genius and we are all dumber than double jacks

But if so, then also I suppose there wasn't enough time to care to elaborate on all that clever mindf*ck - someone had to recognize that people these days just won't get it unless being spoonfed - no, because someone easshat must have insisted there had to be the moron schmultiplayer, and any wrap-up could always be DLC'ed, yes

I just feel the indoctrination theory is a bit of a cop out. It basically just explains things in a way so that the endings didn't happen. Also, why would Shepard only now become indoctrinated? He's spent plenty of time around Reapers and Reaper tech to end up indoctrinated in some form, heck he may have even been remade using reaper tech (since Cerberus had Reaper tech based on the videos you find in their facilities in 3).

Also, indoctrination makes no sense based on the fact that the Illusive Man couldn't control the Reapers seeing as he was already being controlled. So if Shepard was in fact indoctrinated why would he be able to go through the choice? Wouldn't he be no different than the Illusive Man? If that doesn't matter why would the Catalyst even mention it?

So I finally watched the whole indoctrination video.

Dayyum.

If that is how they intended it to be, then I guess we are all dumb.

That makes sense. Much more sense. I don't want a change in the ending. I never did. But now, most of all, I oppose a change in the ending

The suspicious thing about the kid in the beggining is he says "You can't help me" what kind of kid would say that when's he's scared? This kid should not know anything? besides the fact that there's this big monster that's attacking, going with Shepard would've been the kid thing to do. Based on the IT the kid is trying to discourage Shepard "you can't help me" is really "you can't stop the reapers"

Indoctrination theory is silly. Just at the beginning they use the "Reaper" growl as a proof that the boy isn't real... when the growl is part of the background music and loops constantly on the background through the whole first part of the game.

The other bits are basically just Bioware being lazy and reusing old textures (eyes, rubble, plants, etc.). This is also repeated through all ME games, like Krogan female is actually Krogan male with different clothes... there's no conspiracy here, just corner cutting.

It all makes sense. Perfect sense

I want to change my final rating now. My review is incomplete

BioWare, as it seems, if they intended it to be like this, is pure, pure genius.

Please....... there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies, you are giving them FAR too much credit, videos like that are the product of fans like me who are picking up the most tenuous links to make sense of that ending.

They said after ME2 that people deserved a proper ending and that they wouldn't give us an A, B, or C ending and thats exactly what they did, there is loads of evidence in the game of the fact that they simply just ran out of time and didn't have chance to create a proper ending so they bodged something together.

I maintain that there's a strong link between Mass Effect 3 coming out in March, and the start of the new financial year on April 1st. IMO it's probable that Bioware were told to rush the ending so that EA could boost their end of year report. I can't see any other reason why Bioware would have done it. Add to that the Javik DLC and I think it's pretty easy to see that the game is primarily a profit-booster, rather than an epic storyline.

Anyone feeling nostalgic who wants to remember what epic work Bioware can do with this series just has to watch this again (ME2 spoilers):

Still gives me goosebumps :)

lol good finds +Phouchg :)

Yeah biofail fudged up, theres no genius here just a clusterfudge of years of expectations from the previous 2 games, followed by a rushed development cycle, capped off by a poorly screen tested plot and ending.

    • "No. The "New Outlook for Windows" does not support non-cloud mailboxes (such as on-premises Exchange servers). Furthermore, because the New Outlook effectively functions as a web-based client, it requires all connected accounts—even standard IMAP or POP accounts—to route and cache data through Microsoft's cloud servers. You can verify the accepted account setups using the Microsoft Supported Account Types Guide." Built to fail "New" Outlook is basically just webmail in a window wrapper and it's usefulness reflects that.
