win7 Show desktop button stopped working on windows 7

Hey everyone

I'm using windows 7 64 bit ultimate

A few days ago, the show desktop button just stopped responding. Whenever I click on it, nothing happens.

All I can remember was installing a new version of Flash player and started using the sticky notes application that comes with windows

Any how on how I can restore the functionality of this button?

Make sure your video drivers are current.

This is a new one!

I usually never recommend it by maybe do a system restore to a date it worked, if it fixed you know it's something you installed.

If not a Repair Install from Window Disc should fix it. Sounds almost like a registry problem to me, if I had to guess.

This happened to me once in an earlier version of windows and the fault was a file called show desktop.scf, simply copying that file from another pc did the trick
