Whew.

This pack includes almost everything I could find to replace. Almost all icons are GANT, with the exception of Printer, Keyboard and Sharing Overlay, but they still fit in nicely. This pack is for SERVER 2003 ONLY. But never fret, hyprnova is working on a non-sp port and I believe Armlann is working an sp1 port. Or you could port the files yourselves.

Update: An SP1 port has been made. However, it is just the Shell32.dll. See below for the link.

Permission for use of GANT and Umicons granted by mattahan.

Much thanks to mattahan for the most rockin' icon set ever! :punk:

And a huge thanks to Kasteo for making a great SP1 conversion. :)

Comments, questions, bug reports, cash donations  much appreciated. :D

Enjoy.

Note: The folder Windows\system32\dllcache is a hidden folder. You need to go to Tools --> Folder Options --> View and make sure that the option "Show Hidden Files and Folders" is checked, while the "Hide protected operating system files folder" is unchecked. Only then will you see your dllcache folder. Alternatively you can simply type in C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache in the Address bar of your Explorer.

Excellent! A fine shell32 for Server 2003, It's about time!! ;) now i can get my 2k3 box lookin sweet... (i'm far too lazy to do it myself, especially on a machine which isn't my main desktop)

thanks for taking the time to compile this...

yeah, these AVIs are better than the old GANT shell pack i got somewhere else... though you could make on these the recycle bin the "original" on gant, not the one on Umicons.

They are GANT trash cans. Mattahan made two diffrent versions of the can, that's probably where you're getting confused.

And the download should be moved to a new server soon, and I plan to submit this to deviantart soon.

    • But they will be the first asking for a bail out the moment crap goes sideways. Its just a matter of time with this AI thing unless skynet gets us first.
    • I'm so conflicted with the Google Search AI summaries. On one hand I don't like how it's harming smaller websites by greatly reducing traffic which will harm us all in the long run but on the other hand those AI summaries often give me the information I'm after. I have never once clicked on 'show me more' though and never will.
    • Not a single company as small or large it may be is obligated to subsidize its products and sell them at a loss. Your way of thinking is socialist and as a West German with a German brother state but impoverished by state dictatorship and a socialist command economy situated to the East i can tell you - this kind of thinking very quickly leads to products not being produced anymore at all. EDIT: That does not mean that I find state support for social needs unreasonable. Quite the contrary. Together with solid workers' rights we exactly had exactly that in Germany for decades in the form of the Sozialstaat which was as the scandinavian social democratic very successful - until the number of people who drew from those resources dramatically increased (ironically a project of social democrat and green proponents).
