jlund, How can I send file to you? It's a 4.77MB Zip file.

(Y) Much awesome. You've got my permission.

I sent you a pm with FTP info.

I was trying to FTP it to Jlund, but it seem I can't connect to his server. I will host it on my AOL for 1 day(it will be kinda slow). Someone please download it and host it somewhere else faster.

This is shell32.dll for WindowsXP SP1 (both Professional and Home Edition) only. The original file size is 12.4MB. Compress with 7-Zip to Shell32.exe 2.72MB.

Shell32.dll 6.0.2800.1233

Edited by Kasteo

Sorry, for being a moron. But I have never installed something like this before, and I was wondering how it works. Do I have to go into safe mode to replace the shell32.dll? Or does the .exe just install it for me. I've made a copy of my shell32.dll's. The one in the system32 folder is 6.0.2800.1233, but the one in the service pack 1 folder is 6.0.2800.1106. Is this ok? Sorry, I did do a few searches on this in the forums but I didn't come up with anything. Maybe I just overlooked it, but any help would be appreciated.

ok

now one question

how to install this

because whenever I try to replace teh original shell32.dll it says that the file is in use

Do I have to restart the system in safe mode???

edit

Ahh... sorry, I just edit the miss place icon (Home and Refresh). :p For those floder icon on the desktop, you should see it in the GANT floder icon. There are only a few icons that I leave it as the original because XP didn't support all icon in 32bits color. I see most of my icons(included floder) in GANT icon. Anyway, let me know if you run into any other problems.

Here is the new Version :

Shell32.dll 6.0.2800.1233 [v 0.1]

Do you mean "folder"??

Thank Jlund, I just update Shell32.dll to the final version. Thanks to Jame to teach me how to force icon in Shell32.dll to the 32bits color. Now every icons in Shell32.dll(For WindowsXP) were replaced by GANT icon set. I also change the animated windows icon, make it look better than the previous one.

Yes, I plan to make a complete set, but will have to wait after my exam next week. :p

    • XBOX is at the end of its generational life cycle and wasn't selling much anyway. They need to figure out the pricing for XBOX Helios. However, I'm not buying the DRAM shortage with AI preferring HBM. I think it's industry gouging.
