Less mainstream digital download drm-free music stores

What less mainstream digital download sites would you guys recommend?

After Google announced that they have a store today I decided to check it out. Looks really neat. I decided I'd do a price comparison between iTunes, Amazon, and Google on a CD I'm interested in buying. Although Google and Amazon have it for $0.50 less, the iTunes one has 2 bonus tracks.

I guess I'm just incline to buy the iTunes version as that would all be done in one click.

Weekend PC Game Deals: Stealthy freebies and wise bundles drop as sales ramp up
      by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

Freebies begin on Ubisoft's court today, as the gaming giant began a giveaway for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory as part of the company's 35th anniversary celebrations.

Coming in as a fan favorite entry in the stealth series, Chaos Theory puts players back into the shoes of NSA's Third Echelon black-ops agent Sam Fisher. Released in 2005, this third entry in the franchise introduced the sound monitor mechanic to the series on top of the existing light monitor. Keep in mind the official multiplayer servers are not available.

To claim the game, all you have to do is head to this link or use the Ubisoft Connect client. The freebie will be available until November 25, with more Ubisoft promotions right behind it.

Free games also come from Epic Games' direction, this time three of them. Guild of Dungeoneering, Never Alone, and KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION are the latest offers available to claim, and they are quite different indie experiences.

Guild of Dungeoneering is a turn-based, dungeon-crawler card-battler hybrid where you build a dungeon around the hero instead of controlling him. Never Alone is an award-winning puzzle platformer based on a traditional story by Alaska Native people Iñupiat. Both solo and co-op modes are available here. Lastly, KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION comes in as an exploration game/virtual art museum featuring Radiohead-themed art and music from Kid A and Amnesiac albums.

As always, the freebie promotions will refresh on the upcoming Thursday, November 25, and up next is a copy of theHunter: Call of the Wild.

Humble's latest charity bundle has an excellent selection of games where choices matter. Aptly titled the Choose Wisely Bundle, it carries Beholder 2 in the $1 starting tier.

The second tier is basically the price of the final tier, so let's just skip to that. Combined, The last two tiers get you copies of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, We Were Here Together, Kyle is Famous: Complete Edition, and Between the Stars. Humble is also throwing in a 25% off coupon for Detroit: Become Human into this.

Next up is the Space Sports, and Orcs Bundle. This one's first tier has carries Styx: Master of Shadows for $1. The beat the average tier (currently at around $8) consists of Warhammer: Chaosbane, Outcast: Second Contact, Mordheim: City of the Damned, and Street Power Football.

Going up the final tier will cost you $10, and add on Blood Bowl 2 - Legendary Edition, Tour de France 2020, Hunting Simulator 2, and Rugby 20. As autumn sales are coming soon, we should see bundles taking a break in the coming weeks.

      Free Events
Your doses of free events this weekend comes from stores all over. Over on the Ubisoft Connect client you can try out the open world driving game The Crew 2. Meanwhile, if you're keen for some arcade shooting action, Call of Duty Vanguard is running a free weekend for multiplayer. Coming very soon after the launch, this new event will last through November 22 on the Battle.net client.

The in-development space RPG Star Citizen is also having a free-to-play event right now. Until December 1, there's over 150 ships available to try out in the game. Lastly, on Steam the party game First Class Trouble has gone free to play for the weekend, offering a Mafia-like (or Among Us) experience.

Weekend PC Game Deals: Pick some fights and fill your tabletop with RPGs
      by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

Humble Bundle's latest collection is focused on getting your library expanded with fighting games. The aptly named Fighting Juggernauts Bundle carries its first game with a $1 price tag, with One Finger Death Punch 2 being included.

Raising the price to the average price tier gets you Mortal Kombat XL and Slap City. But as its price is currently the same as the final tier, you can just hop over to that and also receive Injustice 2 Legendary Edition, Killer Instinct, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and SoulCalibur VI for a grand total of $12. If you're interested in Soul Calibur VI's season passes, coupons for them are included as well.

There's almost two weeks left on the bundle timer at the moment.

At the same time, Humble introduced another Paradox Interactive game bundle for strategy fans. Here, $1 gets you three games: Ice Lakes, Victoria II, and Knights of Pen and Paper 2.

Stepping up to the average tier will set you back $10 right now, and let you bag copies of Tyranny, the Dynasty Starter Pack for the free-to-play Crusader Kings II, as well as Prison Architect plus its Island bound and Psych Ward DLC. The final tier adds on three more games to the selection, them being Imperator: Rome, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, and Empire of Sin, all for $18.

Ending the Humble run, another bundle appeared this week over on Fanatical. This collection carries four Rainbow Six games, including the latest entry Siege, as well as Vegas, Vegas 2, and Lockdown for $8.99.

Just as scheduled, the freebie of the week from the Epic Games Store was Among the Sleep - Enhanced Edition, taking the spot of Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse.

Among the Sleep is a horror game with an interesting twist where you take the role of a child only two years old. It Is a combat-free experience that relies on the heavy atmosphere and exploration elements to turn up the suspense. This also features better visuals, behind the scenes content, and other bonuses thanks to being the Enhanced Edition.

Epic has no stops planned for its Halloween freebie train, as coming up next on October 28 is another horror game, DARQ: Complete Edition.

      Free Events

In a weird free event, Ubisoft is currently offering a trial for its yet-to-launch multiplayer extreme sports title Riders Republic via the Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store clients. You get access to the full game for four hours through October 27, and you can even carry progress over if you ride into the full game.

Over on Steam, Fallout 76's latest free event is winding down but there's still the weekend left before the promotion closes to explore the entirety of Appalachia. Lastly, the free weekend veteran Dead by Daylight is back for another run, and this time the latest Halloween event, The Midnight Grove, is active for extra spooky-ness.
