what's with all the coal trading, this is in reference to what?

just got EYE, is it any good? looks interesting, kinda like Deus Ex. i was very happy with the speed, the 4.3GB file downloaded in 8 minutes, which is pretty good all things considered.

Not the free version, no.

Ok thanks :)

The latest "free objective" is to complete a trade, so people want to trade something of equal value (coal for a coal) to complete the objective to gain a free game or most likely a coupon or more coal.

This Gift Pile is mad, so far all I've got is coal and 25% of Valve titles (which I already own all of). My sister has got Day of Defeat: Source, Left 4 Dead, STORM: Frontline Nation and coal (the latter two of which she kindly traded to me).

Anyway, tempted by RAGE, but it's cheaper on Amazon, Play and Game (yeah, really!), and you can still get the Anarchy Edition from retail. Not overly fussed either way though, so might leave it.

I wouldn't bother with RAGE, to be honest; it's overrated. I played it from the beginning, and stopped after less than half an hour. There's no real graphics settings in the options, the controls are terrible (especially the mouse control), and the storyline is boring. When it comes to post-apocalyptic first-person shooters, Borderlands is still the top dog.

Grr the only rewards ive got are 6 coal so far and 1 money off voucher. People on Neogaf are getting games like Skyrim. These rewards are just a big scam to get people to buy crap games they wouldnt normally play to make Valve money.

If EA or Activision did this people would be raging.

I have to agree, the beginning is good and you think it's gonna be a big game, but the more you play the more you see it as a narrow linear shooter, it good boring quickly and in the end i just slogged it out, the end was also a big disappointment.

I'm so close to giving up on making a candy stripe in AudioSurf. I've tried so many times and it seems like the white blocks are extremely rare. Anyway, so far I've won two games and two lumps of coal. The games are: The Void and The Polynomial - Space of the music.

Use this song:

And play it under Pointman Elite. It's very easy to get.

I'll give it a try. Thanks! (Y)

Also, here's a good resource for doing the objectives: http://steamtreasurehunt.wikia.com/wiki/Winter_Objectives

It tells you what to do and how to do it.

I got it on the first attempt using this song:

You're right about the white blocks being rare; I only got the candy stripe just over 30 seconds from the end of the song. A couple of pointers on the achievement: use the Pusher; it's a godsend for lining the blocks up correctly, and also, you're allowed to have blocks on the other lines while making the candy stripe. I accidentally picked up a red on the left side while making the candy stripe in the middle, but it still counted when I did it. :)

I'll try that song if I can't do it with the one Singh400 suggested. Has anyone received anything good from crafting 7 lumps of coal? I just crafted them and I received a 50% off coupon for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. :/

My younger brother just won Wings of Prey and my other brother won all the Tropico games (minus Tropico 4).

Would you be interested in a trade for The Void? It looked interesting. I have HL2, both episodes and 4 coal. And a couple of TF2 things.

    • This makes me think of Dune for some reason.
    • I'm too old to return to the "good old days" when I was installing custom ROMs and tinkering with my devices - now I just want to turn it on and use it. I've read that banking and payment apps work on Murena /e/OS (I'll have to check the ones I use) and I also really want to support Fairphone 😉
    • Time to start going to the local church and play Bingo for a while.
